@jack_frost Yeah two drummers can get in each other's way without good chemistry. Better if it's one good drummer. 

I still remember Butch Trucks talking about how he regretted voting to remove Jaimoe from the band in 1980 as soon as they played their first gig with Frankie Toler as the other drummer. Butch said Frankie was always in his way and everytime Butch tried to play something Frankie suddenly was already doing it. Butch said that NEVER happened with Jaimoe. And Butch said when two drummers step on each other it's best to have just one drummer. 

Butch and Jaimoe had completely different styles that oddly meshed well without stepping on each other.  Then Butch said when Mike Lawler was added on keyboards, the chemistry got even worse and the Allman Brothers Band was nowhere close to the band they had with Duane and Berry. 

I've seen some TTB shows that had some excellent high points but some tunes that didn't grab me. But that is like a lot of bands I've seen.
