My first ABB concert

July 1989-Syracuse,NY State Fairgrounds. Within 1st 3 rows the entire show. The beginning of the end of the wild college daze in the land of Oz ( Suny Oswego). After the show, we drove toward Alpine Valley,Wisconsin to see the Grateful Dead.

The summer of 1979- Cape Cod Coliseum . I was a big Outlaw fan then, and Henry Paul Band opened up for them. I was blown away by the intensity of Dickey Betts's playing. They kept coming back for encores. I think they played 3 encores. It was general admission and I just remember how hot it used to get in that building with everyone crammed up close to the stage.

Took my last college exam at 5 and by 7 and some Jack D later I was at the Township Auditorium on May 2nd, 2000 and a week later saw Dixie had been fired

just missed out on the reunion show in '89 but saw them twice in 1990
back when they use to do Spring and Summer or Fall tour stops
been seeing them ever since, although I did miss the Derek/Dickey tours and
the Derek/ Herring tour

This may sound like hyperbole but I will never forget how my first ABB concert experience unfolded. I had tickets to see them at the 8/31/1990 Jones Beach Seven Turns Tour show and a few days before I was out driving doing some errands and while flipping through the radio and caught the tail end of a news report: "...Gregg Allman, His helicopter went down near Alpine Valley. There were no survivors. And now the these messages." Obviously, in hindsight, they must have been listing people SRV played with. I kept frantically flipping through the channels for what seemed like an hour and getting fragments like "Clapton's helicopter" and "Stevie Ray Vaughn." For a good half an hour I was under the impression that Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Gregg Allman had all gone down in a helicopter accident only days before I was to see the ABB for the first time. Was crushed about SRV and the others on the copter but grateful when I found out GA and Clapton were still present. Made me appreciate the show all the more.
Really enjoyed the songs off Seven Turns. Great seeing Dickey switch between acoustic and electric and play both guitars during Seven Turns. He only did that on the Seven Turns tour I believe. I also remember Johnny Neel jumping out of his seat during whipping post. That was a great time. The ABB were back! Been a great ride since.

November 2nd 1972 Hofstra University LINy.I was all of 17.My friend John was a guitar player and he loved Duane. His mother dropped us off.I don't remember much as we were very busy getting high.today I'm 60 and have seen the brothers many many times throughout the years.Last time was 10-25-14. My favorite band of all time.Berry Oakley would die only 3weeks later.Long Live the Allman Brothers Band.

Madison Square Garden for the Brothers & Sisters tour..Marshall Tucker opened and they had the Garden hoppin..ended with Everyday I Have the Blues..ABB had to wait quite awhile before the crowd calmed down..then they came on and killed
