Mule tonight at Beacon

Some here are spoiled! Both shows were great as far as I am concerned. No such thing as a bad Gov't Mule show at least not yet for me at 65+ shows. Some are greater than others but all are great IMO. The NYE set was a hell of a lot of fun and yes, very loud. Loved the covers and the sit ins on the 30th. A little bit (Shout) heavy to start the show but it's all good as far as I am concerned! I for one hope they continue the multiple night NYE Beacon run!!!

Sco-Mule just added 2 nights at the Cap in Port Chester.
Gov’t Mule have added some new dates to their upcoming Sco-Mule tour with John Scofield. The band will now be play shows at the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas, the Belly Up Aspen, the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA and The Space at Westbury in Long Island before heading to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY for a two-night stand. The new shows are in addition to the band’s previously confirmed tour dates, which can be found below. Gov’t Mule and Scofield will be on the road together in support of their forthcoming archival release Sco-Mule, which features 2.5 hours of recordings from their 1999 collaborative tour.

As for attendance issues, the Beacon is pretty expensive, even for the Mule. That might be making a difference. And perhaps the Mule is not picking up new fans as they did over the previous 20 years. That's something for the management to take a look at.
The newer material is weak in my opinion. The last album I really enjoyed was Mr. High And Mighty. But I still love going to see them.
If anyone wants a good random Muletracks to check out try 11-8 in Ann Arbor.

THE MULE NYE SHOW AT THE BEACON WAS INSANE!!
After my 20+ yrs of attending Allmans (and DTB) shows, I thought life was over after my last ABB show. I mean I really felt lucky witnessing it all at the Beacon in October.
How did I ever miss going to a Mule show??? I mean I wish someone had knocked me over earlier- how did I not get on the train here?
ANYWAY, Warren is SO good. Even before Kennedy took the stage, I knew this was it. The Best Show Ever & I can't wait to go back. I never realized how programmed I was going into shows before...
I need Mo' Mule Everyday of My Life......

I had a blast on NYE at the show (my 10th NYE with The Mule) and have now had the chance to listen to the MULETRACKS download and that first set is one of the best Mule sets I have heard. Great stuff. The AC/DC set rocks too.
