Mule-NYE

Anyone know this years tribute part of show?

I have heard Tom Petty..trying to find out myself!
Good to "see" you out here!

Any update or confirmation on MYE theme?

Can you believe it? Another year has come and gone. It seems to go faster and faster every year, and as we sit here a week away from our annual Mule Year’s Run, it wouldn’t be tradition without one last announcement. We are very excited to welcome special guests Jackie Greene and Shawn Pelton to our New Year’s Eve performance in New York City. Jackie and Shawn joined us last year and we are thrilled to have them back again for another round. So hop on that plane, take the train, or get in your car to come join us and you’ll see that all roads lead to the Beacon!

No musical theme? Just 2 guests?

I’m going to have to start going to this. seems to be the best act out there these days. I bet they kick it into high gear for this night.

Really wanted to go to the first New York show. Ticket prices are quite reasonable. Hotel prices on the other hand are insane.
And that's not even sticking around for New Year's.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Is there a Terrapin Station reference in that image.

Blasting off into 2019 with this New Year's
run poster by Arno Kiss.
Edition of 260 Regular and 40 Foil.

Lots of Train songs.
WOO WOOO!

Cool.

Warren and the guys will put on a hell of a show.

Had a terrific time on Saturday for the first Beacon show. I was in the 5th row and while the show was not one of the best Mule shows I have seen, Warren was in great spirits and seemed relaxed. Just a fun show with a nice setlist. Only complaints I had were with two of the guest artists who came out to jam, Oz Noy and Danny Draher. Now I love it when Warren brings out guests. I do think it can add a lot to the show. But on Saturday, I just felt they added little particularly Noy on Billy Cobham’s, “Red Baron. “ The chemistry was not there and Draher added little to the song. Felt the same way, about Draher when he played on “Things Ain’t What They Used To Be”.
Tonight should be a barnstopper.

I can't make it for the 9pm showtime tonight, but thinking the second set might start around 11, figuring a 9:30'ish actual start time. Sound about right?

I have been going for many years and I would be shocked if they started before 9:20.
I always get nervous as Warren stops before midnight and then seems to come out seconds before midnight.
Sometimes they have 3 sets so hard to say what time things will go.
I was thinkinking they would play 9:30 to 11:15 and then start at midnight but my guess is no better than anyone else's.

Wow. What a setlist!

Wow. What a setlist!
Yes, indeed. Unbelievable. Wish i've been there. A 4 hour + marathon show with a mindblowing setlist.

Nowhere near so novel as homage to 1967, Woodstock set or Mad Dogs tribute...It's the sound of a band that needs to go on a hiatus.

One can listen and/or download the show at the link below.
