Never have seen them, but they have a good body of work.

I only have one of their CDs, "PowerTrip," but it is great. Classic sludge.

Their guitarist Ed Mundell has a side band called Atomic Bitchwax, and they are fun too. They cover Tommy Bolin's "Crazed Fandango" very well. Here is a slightly fuzzy live version:

I'm actually going to see Atomic Bitchwax next Monday. They are on a bill with Weedeater as the headliner at a bowling ally in Youngstown that plays shows now.

I always like Monster Magnet. Powertrip is great..they are playing almost the entire album on this tour, out of order. 4 or 5 songs from that album would make it on any set list, but playing the entire album instead something else for some of those songs might limit the ceiling for show. Still I've wanted to see them for a long time and every time I looked seemed they were just always in Europe. It will be good. Think it is at Rex Theater in Pittsburgh 3/24.

So I saw Atomic Bitchwax last night. Perfectly enjoyable performance, not great, but really good - bought a couple CDs. Don't think their bass player is still in Monster Magnet. TAB opened with In the Flesh.

Goddamn Gallows probably stole the show...they are...unique.

Weedeater was weedeater. They played Gimmie Back My Bullets, which they also recorded in the studio for a release.
