The word has long been out about how amazing Karl Denson's Tiny Universe is, but I finally caught them on Saturday night in Brooklyn with special guests Roosevelt Collier and Chuck Leavell. What a fantastic show, even got some "Statesboro" from Chuck, to which I wondered how many times I'd hear an Allman Brother perform that tune.

great night of music last Saturday night at Brooklyn Bowl. As soon as I noticed Chuck on the bill with Karl Denson I knew I had to be there. Karl took over the late Bobby Keys spot in The Stones for the last leg of their most recent tour. Chuck makes any band 1000 times better than they normally are and is a treat to watch and listen too. His Statesboro vocals were right on target. Would love to see him at Wanee or Peachfest collaborating with some of his old musical partners.
