Happy 72nd Birthday Duane

Happy Birthday Duane
You're still inspiring so many to this day.

How true. He sure left us some fine music didn't he?

Does anyone here, know of or posses age progression software? I know it exists, how cool would it be to see this done to a photo of Duane and Gregg?.. Kind of a now and then type of stage shot?
R.I.P. Brother and Happy Birthday

Yes Happy Birthday Howard Duane Allman. Last time I saw Duane was at High Point University in summer of 1971. The energy and mojo coming of that man was out of this world. And the finest slide blues slide guitar player ever.

It still gets to me, even after probably hundreds of times, every time I listen to Little Martha or that solo in Mountain Jam off EAP. Man, what an effect that dude has on me when I listen to him. Same for Gregg.

Same here, & Oakley as well (especially) -- he was such a monster talent & played w/such melody & a loving heart -- he gave the original band its own sound forever b/c, as an article said, "it was his attitude coming through his fingers"

His playing dramatically impacted my life long appreciation of music. The ABB reached into my heart and grabbed on. Thank you, to all of the band, for all of the music.

Just visited Duane Betts' Facebook page for the first time in awhile wondering what may be there about the Allman Betts Band.
Was touching to see a picture of Duane Allman's dobro he used on Little Martha on Eat A Peach next to a photograph of Duane Allman in Dickey's home. Duane Betts is there for Thanksgiving.
Dickey is pictured with Duane Allman's dobro on the cover of his solo album Highway Call.
Duane Allman and Dickey Betts played side by side for just 2 1/2 years but can we think of another guitar duo that accomplished what they did no matter how many years you want to mention.
Of course they couldn't have done it without Berry, Gregg, Butch and Jaimoe. Okay The Allman Brothers Band! ( applause) Wake up Mama!!!

Belated Happy Birthday, Brother Duane. As many have said, you still inspire people. You are not forgotten!

It seems strange but I have been listening to FE at least 10 times a year for nearly 50 years. I guess it was like my father he listened to Kind of Blue for almost 60 years.
