GUNS N' ROSES' "Not In This Lifetime" tour, which began four years ago, recently became the No. 3 highest-grossing tour in the history of Billboard Boxscore.
Launched in April 2016, "Not in This Lifetime" features classic-lineup members Slash, Duff McKagan and singer Axl Rose backed by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardist Dizzy Reed and second keyboardist Melissa Reese.
About 70 people travel with the "Not In This Lifetime" show in addition to the truck drivers; that number goes upwards of five hundred, including the local workers, by show date once catering, security, etc. are factored in, according to the GN'R tour's production manager, Dale "Opie" Skjerseth.
GUNS kicked off its long-rumored and long-awaited reunion tour with a club show in Hollywood and appearances in Las Vegas and at California's Coachella festival.
The band is now reportedly going to work on a new studio album — the first under the GUNS banner since 2008's "Chinese Democracy" and the first to feature Rose, Slash and McKagan since 1993.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

They did Knocking on Heavens Door didnt they? How about Last Kiss? And they used Strother Martin's voice on a track.

Strother Martin voice on this Gun N Roses track.

I can't believe they are still touring, this is going on the 4th straight year of the stadium tours.
I did see them on one of their stadium stops in 2017. Will say, it was pretty good, they played very long...honestly it was a little too long, I was kinda getting tired of it. But if people keep wanting to see them, there is demand, no reason they shouldn't keep going out and doing it.

I saw them July 2016. Really good show. I agree that it was a little long (and I'm not one to say something like that normally). They played close to 3 hours I recall.
You figure Axl probably owns half the corporation. Duff and Slash are 25% owners each (my guess) and everyone else is a well paid employee. AFter 4 years these guys have got to be killing it (plus you know Axl was paid well by AC/DC for their last tour. I thought GnR might implode before the end of the 2016 tour.
I'll go to their Atlanta show because it's 3 miles from my house and at Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) and I've seen some great shows there over the years (Stones X2, Pink Floyd X2).

Won't ever go see them. Love their music, but..... had tickets for my brother and I to go see them in Chicago for my bro's birthday. On my way to the show the radio announced they had cancelled - Axl was worried about being arrested after the show because of the problem in St. Louis where he hit a fan or something - so they just left town and cancelled the show. That was around the Use Your Illusion tour. Then they broke up and didn't come back. Pissed me off. Especially since the case was quietly settled later on.

I enjoyed their music and will still put it on. I never did see them live, so I should, but....I don't know if I feel like hitting a stadium show ever again. I've skipped the past few Who and Stones tours for that reason.
I began my concert-going career in the 1980s with stadiums and arenas. However, I've really been spoiled by the theaters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guns and Roses is a much bigger band than the Allman Brothers. Guns N Roses are Rolling Stones or Eagles big or bigger. I remember in 1991 they released two albums simultaneously, Illusion 1 and Illusion 2. Both sold over 7 million copies in the U.S. and the Allman Brothers released Shades of Two Worlds and it sold 300,000. The ABB did become a mega band in 1973 and did 15 stadium shows in 1974 that were sell outs. But they let it slip through their fingers. But in a way it's not as fun being a loyal fan to a band that is that big. It's a hassle getting tickets and if you get tickets your seat may be in the next town.
I'm glad the ABB became successful but the size they were in 1971 and 1972 and 1979 and 80 and from 1989 to 2014 was just right. Big enough for the band to make a nice living and not too hard to get good seats or down front. Records sold okay. They had one to sell over 500,000 in 1994 and receive a gold disc.

I might be able to get you into Wrigley for it. I'll do what I can do. l I'll know by the end of the week.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Tickets will be outrageously expensive, and the secondary market will be even worse. Why go to a stadium show when it will be next to impossible to get a good seat ( unless you are willing to buy into what the scalpers and brokers have) and sit in the back or upper level where the sound quality is less than sub par, dicey sight lines, concessions and alcohol prices inflated, bathroom lines long, parking fees and traffic jams before and after, getting home late having to be up early for work....and did I mention tix prices?
People like saying " they were there" or " I saw the Stones". Sitting in a poor seat , sound quality iffy, and watching a video screen, does not cut it for me for "being there" and enjoying a show.
Don't mean to sound negative, but being honest. I like GNR, but a stadium show? No thanks.
Only way I would do any of the above ,if Zeppelin was touring and had Bonzo on drums, but we all know ,that ain't happening.
By the way ,I forgot....
Hey kids, get off my lawn!!! 😛 😛 😛

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I'd rather go see Izzy

I hope they bring out another album before slash and Axl hate each other again. It would be so cool if Steven Adler was the the drummer again.

Actually some of the shows have sold so pathetically you could easily wait for the groupon. Or more likely the cancellation. A complete embarrassment.

No thanks .... Wrigley is not the best place to see a concert - saw Pearl Jam there and they were delayed for 2 hours because of rain in the middle of the show. Show ended around 2 am - luckily the L was still running because we had to take it back downtown where we had parked. Didn't get home till about 4 am.....
