Quality Record Pressings of Salina will also be releasing their new pressing of Laid Back this Friday at the show.

Noah wotherspoon definately worth checking out, saw him open for Savoy Brown a few years ago in Dayton, Ohio. Very good.

I went to this event on the chance to actually meet Gregg. My uncle is the plating master at the vinyl pressing plant there. The usual thing at this event is that you get to meet all of the artists. It's like everybody has a back stage pass. But Gregg didn't participate in any of it. The show was in Salina and when Gregg walked out and said "Hello Saleenus",I knew right there that he wouldn't be coming over to the after show jam across the street.
The show was very good. The horn section was really tasty and to me, it had a vibe like Van Morrison's It's Too Late to Stop Now album. The sound system at the Stiefel was also the best i've ever heard. Usually when you are way up front you get a bad mix and only hear the on stage amps and the vocals blow right over your head on the main system. But at this theater they had about 5 or 6 of these little 6" by 6" speakers spread out all across the front of the stage and being in the front row, one was about 3 feet away from me and it put out the perfect mix of everybody. It was like listening to a live album in your living room except the band was right there. Whoever does the sound at this theater needs to package up this method and spread it around everywhere.
Killer Stand Back, Ain't Waistin Time No More, Stormy Monday, etc...
It was good but i'd be lying if I wasn't really missing Butch, Jaimoe, Oteil, Derek, and Warren. All of the musicians in the band were good, but it's just a night and day difference to what the Brothers can put out.
Jimmy D Lane is amazing and I have seen him several times. Highly recommended if you like blues and blues rock.
Marquis Knox was great you could really tell he was playing from the heart.
Noah Wotherspoon was great, however he was a little too staccato stingy riff for me.
The big highlight and one of my favorite acts of the whole weekend was Brushy One String. A Jamaican dude who taps the guitar for a beat and plays bass lines with one string and sings the coolest songs. He commanded the entire room with that one string. It was amazing to see and feel that.
