Gov’t Mule NYE shows slow selling?

Got an email from Ticket Bastard today with a code (THIRTY) for up to 20% off tickets to the Dec 30 and 31 shows.

Got a similar message with a comparable discount but from The Beacon....was bemused to see the bandlisting designating 'Warren Haynes of The Allman Brothers Band'?!?!?....true of course, but does that designation presume potential attendees are not wholly conversant in his overall history?!?

@dovetail Yes sounds as if they are concerned many potential ticket buyers are not familiar with Govt Mule so they need to promote the Allman Brothers Band connection.
Sometimes promotors would list the Allman Brothers Band when it was a Gregg Allman solo show and very often and if not everytime for Dickey Betts solo, Freight Train, Les Brer and I remember Sea Level being promoted as the rhythm section of the Allman Brothers Band years ago.
But Gov't Mule has been around since 1994 and tours every year and has released many albums so one would think Gov't Mule would have their own good following.
On the other hand NO off shoot band of the Allman Brothers Band has as far as I know had an album to sell over one million copies. Indeed even the Allman Brothers Band itself hasn't had a million selling NEW album since their fourth platinum album, Brothers and Sisters which sold 7 million copies.
Albums just don't sell that well these days for any bands.
Gov't Mule and TTB while not as big as the ABB do still have a good size following don't they?

Agreed all around, including Mule & TTB followings, both of which are sourced in ABB fandom.

Gov't Mule, Tedeschi Trucks and Allman Betts NOT among the big tours of 2024!!! (I don't like that at all!)
1. Taylor Swift $1.043 billion
2. Coldplay $421.7 million
3. Pink $367.3 million
4. Luis Miguel $261.5 million
5. Bruce Springsteen and E Street $251.3 million
6. Rolling Stones $235 million
7. Bad Bunny $210 million
8. Zach Bryan $199.1 million
9. Metallica $179.4 million
10. Madonna $178.8 million
Hopefully Govt Mule, TTB and Allman Betts did turn a profit as the article said some of the smaller drawing bands broke even or lost money on tours in 2024 and some had shows canceled due to slow ticket sales!!.
Apparently Gov't Mule current booking fee is $75,000.00.
For TTB to book the band costs $75,000.00 to $149,000.
For comparison to book the Rolling Stones the price begins at $11 million dollars in 2024
Metallica the price to book starts at $1 million.
What city and how recent popularity trends will change booking prices up or down from this year's amount.
If Allman Brothers Band related bands book the right size venues and the cities where they have a decent fan base it seems they should do alright. I hope so!!
