I watched about a minute of it and couldn't take anymore. I actually liked them a lot back in the day, their first record, "Foreigner" was great and I still own a CD copy. But they're just too schmaltzy for me now. I must admit though that their new singer has a great voice and he sounds a lot like Lou Gramm. Speaking of Gramm..........is he doing anything musically at all these days? I know he had what I believe was a brain tumor but that was quite a few years ago.

It is one of those questionable bands. Mick Jones is either not there or sometimes plays on some tunes. They restarted this show and he isn't there but shows up later. What the hell? There are no original members on stage now. The funny part is they sound better. Jones was never a strong lead player and when he comes out it goes downhill. But how can an original member be there and not start a broadcast show?

How is this not a cover band? Not sure when Jones ends up coming on but it is now at least 5 songs later then he should. LOL Bet he makes most of the cash too. I know he had health issues but when the only guy left can't make it then it might be time to quit.

Again these guys sound better than the originals would now. But calling it Foreigner is a stretch.

Interesting about Mick Jones not playing on all the songs and not making
an appearance till later. Odd......

Never been a big follower of them. They do have some songs I like.

The singer Kelly Hansen use to sing in the band Hurricane in the 80's.

I am assuming Jeff Pilson is still with them, He was in Dokken.

At one time Jason Bonham played with Foriegner. He left UFO to join them.

That would be even stranger seeing a band where none of the orginal members are present.
Maybe you could call it a cover/tribute band at that point.
I think KISS is wanting to do something like that.

Foreigner filled a void at a time when rock pretty much sucked. I liked them and still like their old stuff. Not ground-breaking, or a spiritual experience, but good fun rock. They knew how to do a catchy tune. Memories of cranking them loud in my 78 Trans Am and party party party Smile

Images of Tony flying by with the windows down, Dirty White Boy cranked with the hair blowing in the wind. 😉

These guys played in Ottawa a year or two ago to a large crowd and the funny thing is Lou Gramm played at a local Fair around the same time. These guys get $60 a ticket and Gramm who sang/wrote the tunes gets $5.

I saw them this past summer on a bill with Don Felder from the Eagles and Styx. Foreigner was actually quite good but as was mentioned, Mick Jones only played for probably half of their set. The band must have played for over a half hour before they introduced Jones. Still, they were good.

Of the three, I thought Don Felder was the best.
