Does anyone have any holiday songs that they like?
In no particular order:
Bob Seger- Little Drummer Boy
Emerson Lake & Palmer - I Believe in Father Christmas
David Bowie & Bing Crosby - Little Drummer Boy
Bruce Springsteen - Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Burl Ives - Have a Holly Jolly Christmas - I have a 78 of that. đÂ
Don Henley - Please Come Home For Christmas
Peggy Lee - Rockin Around the Christmas Tree
There are obviously a ton more.

Gene Autry HERE COMES SANTA CLAUSE !! This was on the radio in 1952 and they still play it here on the FM station that plays Christmas Music.Â
Â
Jimmy BuffettÂ

I have always loved the Mariah Carey Christmas album. I know it evokes strong reactions from all sides, probably due to the ubiquity of All I Want for Christmas. But itâs my favorite Christmas album.Â
Also a big fan of the Charlie Brownâs Christmas sound track album. A great jazzy and also traditional take on good songs.Â
Newer albums, I spin Claptonâs a lot. And Cee-Lo put out a really good R&B Christmas album a couple years agoÂ

Father Christmas - Greg Lake
Christmas Must Be Tonight - The Band
Run Rudolph Run - KeefÂ
The Holiday Season - Andy Williams
Â
Â

Gregg and Floyd Miles doing Silent Night on Christmas With the Blues lp.Â

The Pogues - Fairytale Of New York

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Kenny Loggins âCelebrate Me Home.â
Â
thereâs some classic / traditional Christmas songs I like more, but that oneâs tough to beat.Â

Freddie King - Christmas Tears
Bryan Adams - Christmas Time
AC/DC - Mistress For Christmas
Bon Jovi - I Wish Everyday Could Be Like Christmas
Clarence Carter - Back Door Santa

I really like the Bryan Adams & Bon Jovi songs. Both good selections!

Totally forgot!!!!
Â
Billy Squire â Christmas is the Time to Say I Love You.Â

I am with you on Mariah Carey. Has that All I Want for Xmas been played to death? You bet! I still like it.Â
I never knew Clapton did a Xmas album but I heard a song yesterday on a rock station. Very good.
Also, REO Speedwagon came on. I guess they did a holiday album a few years ago which I was unaware of. I love REO but they couldn't pull this off.

Ray Charles Little Drummer Boy
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings Silent Night
BeBop Santa Claus Babs GonzalezÂ

Chuck Leavell's What's In That Bag? is a great Christmas album. If you don't have it, get it!
Merry Christmas Baby has been covered by many artists, but my personal favorite version is by Otis Redding.
Another go-to Christmas disc is Ray Charles' The Spirit of Christmas. All killer, no filler!

John Lennon - So this is Christmas, And what have you done? Â

A big +1 on the Charlie Brown album and as strong a big - on Mariah
Â
Anything Bing, Elvis and Brian Setzer.

Some great blues/R&B tracks from the late 40s/early 50s, here's my favourite; Gonna Have A Merry Christmas by The Nic Nacs
Nic Nacs (fb Mickey Champion) - Gonna Have A Merry Christmas (RPM 313-A) 1950 - YouTube

Oh yes, and got to echo the comments of Buckeye, Brian Setzer has released some great Christmas albums.

Seriously, one of my favorites is Canned Heat w/The Chipmunks "Christmas Blues"
Â
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

They just played on WMOT âChristmas Bluesâ by Canned Heat with Clapton. It was quite good.Â

@allmanfan21 Clarence Carter - what a voice and backed by The Swampers, you can't go wrong. Marcus King does a version but Clarence is a hard act to follow.

Santa Claus - Sonny Boy Williamson
Jingle Bell Rock...original version only!!
Rock around the Christmas tree - Brenda Lee
Santa baby - Eartha Kit
My Favorite Things - The Supremes
There's more but these are the top 5...
