Eric Clapton health.

Just read Clapton has to use a wheelchair much of the time now for mobility. Eric suffers from peripheral neuropathy which often is caused by chronic heavy use of alcohol.Â
EC is 79 years old now and has a net worth of $470 million.Â
I hope he GETS BETTER IN A LITTLE WHILE!!Â
This is smoking hot!! Live from 1970 by Derek and The Dominoes. Carl Radle is almost as good live as Berry Oakley!! Put on some good headphones and ride the rocket!!!Â

Also according to the article Clapton's health hasn't been good since he caught COVID-19. Clapton had the COVID vaccine but developed serious COVID symptoms regardless and in the wake of this his health isn't as good as one would hope.Â
Clapton blames his severe COVID-19 symptoms on the vaccine he took prior to catching COVID-19 and now is strongly ANTI VACCINE!!Â
Likey what is actually the situation is he may not be alive now. We were learning with COVID as we went along and it turned out the vaccine will not prevent one from catching the virus but it most cases the symptoms are not as severe.Â
I'm 78 and have had 5 COVID shots over the years including last fall and as far as I know, I've never had COVID ( knock on wood!!:)
Anyway good luck to Mr. Clapton.Â
Here is Clapton WITHOUT A PICK!! Nice blues playing.Â

Clapton gave a three pickup Les Paul custom to Albert Lee!!Â
In 1979 Lee was playing in Clapton's band and he and Eric began talking guitars. Albert said " I used to have a Les Paul Custom and like an idiot I sold it." Then Clapton said " Oh I have one of those somewhere at home". The next day a roadie walked up with a guitar case and handed it to Lee and inside was the guitar. Clapton just gave it to Albert Lee free of charge.Â
Lee put the pick guard and pickup covers back on. Clapton had removed them when he used the guitar on a Delaney, Bonnie and Friends tour. I seem to remember during this period Clapton left his own band and did not want to be a band leader anymore. He just wanted to be a sideman. A hired hand.Â
But here are pictures of the Gibson custom shop duplicates of the three pickup guitar which Albert Lee has owned since 1979.Â

Great early version of Got to get Better, yes that is Steve Gadd. Sherriff beautiful solo at 545-850 just wonderful Clapton. I caught Clapton April of 78 backup band was Jack Bruce & friends. Clapton played Sherriff, Got to get Better, Layla, Badge, Sunshine and Further on up the Road. Jack Bruce played a song or two with EC vaguely remember. "Further" was a staple of his set lists back then. I always wondered had Duane lived longer if additional collaborations would have happened. Â

Eric Clapton - Badge (The Prince's Trust Masters Of Music 1996) - great version

Well E.C. just announced a half dozen U.S. dates for September. No it's not a large world tour, but E.C. has said he's not doing that anymore, but booking a short run with the Wallflowers seems a good sign on his health:
