Echoland Music Fest at Spirit of Suwanee

Interesting lineup, lots of familiar Wanee Fest bands. I had to look up what a Tyler Childers is - anyone know more about him and how he's a headliner? Is that just Live Nation pushing the hot flavor of the moment?

Tyler is a big act. Doing it his way...he'll do an accessible album followed by some Appalachian style country followed by something different.. Definitely not the flavor of the month. This is probably his big hit, which ESPN used for a couple years to push the SEC network. Most of his music is more hard core old style country than this.

Gotcha, thanks! I don't follow much modern country, so I'm not up to speed on what's popular. Seems like a weird choice to drop a big country act to headline a jammy lineup, but between Yola and the Flaming Lips and Tenacious D and Gov't Mule, it's certainly an eclectic lineup that's aiming for broad appeal. Solid under card for an inaugural fest.

Yes, thought is was eclectic as well. You figured Plant and Krauss would get a headline spot, but maybe it does not look that way. Saw them last summer and they were great....if you dig what they do.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I am sure there will be some "sit in's". The reason why I bring this up, is seeing Mule on the bill along with Plant. I thought a few years ago when Robert was at Mountain Jam I was hoping he and Warren/Mule would have done something together. It just seemed like a given, at least to me. Oh well....

@jszfunk Plant didn't sit in with anyone when he played Wanee either. Maybe it's not his thing. The whole lineup has a weird hierarchy, I'm interested how they fit this into a schedule and what stages.
However, the promo states "Tyler Childers presenting an Echoland exclusive magical collaborative set," which sounds like you're going to get some sit-ins.

Just looked up Nathaniel Rateliff - he's a pretty cool 60s soul throwback. I dig it.

Those prices!!!! No VIP without camping or cabin ($8000 and UP !!!!!!). That leaves me out. Loved the VIP daily parking at the old Wannee. BTW Live Nation is no more. Ticketbas**d is now a monopoly. Do they realize that there's inflation? Oh yeah they do. Just look at those prices!!!!!!!

@littlesister1 Daily packages with primitive camping from $289.00.

I've been following Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats since their debut. Finally saw them live a couple of months ago. Great live act (only critique is with they'd have the guitar player rip more during their live shows.....show was only 95 minutes long....another few minutes of gutiar solos wouldn't hurt) .
Nathaniel is a serious talent. Has a bit of an old Van Morrison delivery at times & such natural great harmony with his keyboardist. Here are a few favorites:

I Never Need Get Old:
The Future (wearing his Dylan influence on his sleeve on this one)
