Dwight Yoakam, New Mexico State University, Las Cruces 5/16/25

Oh Damn............WHAT a show. I was not a Dwight Yoakam fan. NOW I AM. It's that simple, and the show was that good. I went out of curiosity. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a bigger talent in country music. I shot quite a bit of video and I'm going to share everything I have uploaded to YouTube. I'll start you off with an almost 9 minute, 3 tune medley including some stuff you might recognize. The second one is You're The One. I'm really knocked out by the beauty of that tune.
A Thousand Miles From Nowhere/Little Ways/Guitars, Cadillacs (medley)
You're The One
First two tunes: Keep On The Sunny Side/Come Back To Me
Honky Tonk Man
Little Sister

I haven't seen Dwight in years but it was always a tight and very professional show everytime I saw him years ago at a big club nearby which booked country music acts.
Marty Stuart and his band is a top notch show. Marty has an excellent lead guitar player.
Ricky Scaggs was a good show back then and he had a British guitarist who was fantastic. Was it Ray Flack?

Dwight is the living extension of the Bakersfield Sound that was started by guys like Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. I've never seen him, but sure would like to
