Just cause I was in the mood. This guy is SO great. So glad I finally got a chance to see him two years ago.

Man, he was sad when Merle Haggard passed away. You can feel it............can't you?

playallnight, I think it's more F music industry and listeners than Nashville. It's the industry and business knowing it can exploit particular genres...and a lack of demand by audiences and buyers of music to play something better..that is letting all this happen. Nashville, like LA for television, just happens to be the location where a lot of the $%#& is produced. To be honest, besides the hundreds of youngsters moving to Nashville from all over the country every week to be "country" or trendy, most players in Nashville despise the "cool bro" scene as much as anyone. I believe it was Blake Shelton that said the youngsters don't want "Grandpa's records". The industry knows it can force feed young audiences this crap, but that's who buys Apple music stuff , and most of them don't know the difference in keys. Again, if the audience was musically educated and demanded better product, popular music as a whole would be much better I think.
The music scene in Nashville itself is actually VERY good; what the rest of the world sees is indeed pretty darn awful.
Then there's guys that just don't associate with Nashville, yet most their business is conducted there. Sturgill Simpson comes to mind as someone that is labelled country yet has threatened to move to Big Sky country and never return to town haha. And then there's guys like this that simply won't come to town:

Mr. Triple Stop
Enough of my Nashville rant, Dale Watson is great haha.
