Clapton announces a limited Tour.

Eric must be feeling a lot better. I've read the rumors of his poor health but the good news is
he just announced a new tour. He is doing 6 stops in US, starting Nashville Sept 8, ending Sept 19 near Hartford CT. Cleveland, Philly, Boston, NYC sandwiched in.

Yes that is good news. Clapton recently was using a wheelchair for mobility for a good part of the day and that may continue to be the case.
He always has top shelf players in his road band. I bet the tickets will be up there.

Chuck still had brown hair when this went down.

Queen Elizabeth doesn't know who these guitar players are!! I guess Warren Haynes and Ed King wouldn't have a chance either since they aren't close to being as famous as the players before her!!

Ed King haha good call 🙂

@mulemewarren I'm 78 years old and first saw the Allman Brothers Band in 1970 for $4 dollars. I was instantly hooked. Statesboro Blues and Duane Allman's slide guitar and the rest of the guys flipped a switch on me. I think Mitch Ryder and the Doors were my favorite bands before I saw the ABB in early 1970.
There is a big music store here with a decent guitar and amp section. A number of young guitar enthusiasts are always hanging around on Saturday. I talk to them. Same and different ones on each weekends. Looking at electric guitars they can't afford:)
They are generally into guitarists frankly I'm not familiar with but I do know some of the names.
Conversely they don't know many of the players I bring up. They usually know there was a band called the Allman Brothers but many don't know Dickey, Warren or Derek. A couple of guys thought that's Duane Allman playing on Ramblin' Man and Jessica. A few are familiar with Derek Trucks as a slide player.
These young guys do know who Jimmy Page, Brian May, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck are. And David Gilmore. But most of them wouldn't know Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, Albert King, Jack Pearson, Ed King, Alan Collins or Toy Caldwell if they were standing there. They would be like the Queen! Several know about Joe Walsh.
I know a few of their heros such as Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vie and the lead player for Metallica. Maybe I don't after all!! I can't think of the Metallic lead guitar player's name right at the moment!! 😄
Usually this kind of playing is what they want to sound like.

@mulemewarren Not Clapton related but you said Jerry.

Thx nice clip haven't heard that one.

@mulemewarren I have seen Clapton play jazz and remind one of a George Benson style player but these isn't much on YouTube.
