Central Park……

Is the Central Park show ever coming to CD? I have a bootleg copy and the quality is the best. So I was hoping the band could release the show.

Are you talking about the DB & GS /reunion show?I was there.I would love if they could release that.Hearing it again would be sweet.

@uponthe2ndfloor That's the 1978 show at Central Park with Dickey Betts and Great Southern and for the last set Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks and Jaimoe took the stage and joined Dickey plus Dan Toler and Rook Goldflies and it was billed after the show in the press as The Allman Brothers Band and Dickey told New York media they had worked things out and they missed each other so the Allman Brothers were back.
I later read Phil Walden had asked Chuck Leavell and Lamar Williams to come back too but they chose to remain with Sea Level.
Jaimoe quit Sea Level after Cats on the Coast came out. Chuck Leavell ran the band and Chuck had already replaced Jaimoe on drums with a drummer named George Weaver and he moved Jaimoe to percussion and congas. Not sure why Chuck made that move but not long after the album was released, Jaimoe quit Sea Level.

Okay I did some checking and Chuck replaced George Weaver on drums after just a year with Joe English who had been with Paul McCartney and Wings as drummer.
I had forgotten English was on drums when the entire band folded.

Here's a recording of the show, crowd goes wild when Gregg gets introduced before "One Way Out"
