Never knew Joel was in a metal band?!

That group lasted one year ( 1969-1970) and their only album did not chart. I remember the Electric Banana in my hometown had a few copies they got somehow for sale after Joel became famous.
It was just two players according to Wikipedia. Joel billed as William Joel and drummer Jon Small. Joel screamed the vocals and played wild organ and the bass lines with his foot like the Doors organ player.
Joel ran off with Small's wife and the collaboration ended.
After Joel became famous, they became friends again but Joel was married to the woman then.
