Big Band of Brothers

Going tonight should be some great music by seasoned musicians.
Sitting in front row.
Only a couple of hundred tix sold.
Anybody have reviews or news from the last two nights?

Setlists anybody???

I was there opening night in Tarrytown. it's a great show. Jaimoe is front and center. Don't worry about setllst. go and enjoy and let yourself be surprised.
They do a short first set w/o Jai. Then he comes out. Lamar on and off. Roosevelt I think stayed up the whole time. The arrangements are great... they all play their asses off and Jaimoe is playing great and is very happy, enjoying being back ion stage. it's a special night. shame the crowds are not a lot larger. Everyone would enjoy thuis.

@alpaul thx for your review
Sitting here in the Sugar Loaf parking lot really looking forward to tonight.
Always loved the ABB with the Jukes horns.
Looks like it'll be empty tonight
Hope to catch Jaimoe for autograph

How'd you enjoy the show? Pity they are are not drawing bigger crowds for this great show.

Great time last night small venue about half full tix were reduced to $20.
Band played hard with them horns blowin` it out!
Sammy Miller was kind of corny shtick as an opener.
Jaimoe was all smiles and I got his autograph.
Put partial setlist up later.
Nice to see seasoned musicians using sheet music, and some over the top solos throughout the show.

Jaimoe is a real veteran musician and doesn't worry about crowds. I remember reading an interview with him years ago and he talked about a show where Gregg was sick and didn't show. Dickey announced Gregg wasn't here tonight and a good number of people left and it irritated some of the guys but Jaimoe said "Let them go. They were here to see Gregory not us. I'll play my best if there is just six people out there".
I'm sure Jaimoe was fantastic. I think this is the first time he has played since The Brothers at Madison Square Garden. He said he was in bed for two weeks after that show. Young Duane Trucks kicked his butt!"
.
And Stand back has Jaimoe playing the main drum part. Butch said up to that point in their recording career Butch more or less was the main time keeper and this song which was begun by Berry Oakley and finished by Gregg struck him as fitting Jaimoe's style so Butch insisted Jaimoe play the main drum part and Butch added the coloring.

The 2/25 show is on the traders den:
