Have just watched Electric Church, a documentary of Jimi Hendrix's appearance at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival. There were contributions from the promotor Alex Cooley, Paul McCartney, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeshi. Which indicates it is a recent preduction. The concert footage is very good although the sound is not perfect. The brothers get mentioned as being on the bill and that the whole weekend was filmed. Can someone close to Alex Cooley who obviously owns the rights implore him to assist in a film similar to the Hendrix film of that of the historic Brothers performances being put out into the public domain.

Southern Voices American Dreams? 😮 😛 😉
it pretty much applies -- people have been dreaming on about this for ages -- to say that it's unlikely to happen would be an understatement

I have heard a rumor from an insider who shall remain anonymous that Atlanta Pop ABB footage WILL in fact see the light of day. Why now? I don't really know. Maybe because the window of opportunity for marketing is closing as we baby-boomers age. I won't say more other than I consider this person a reliable source.

And just to add fuel to the fire, a friend I trust told me he has a friend who's seen the whole ABB performance on 2 DVDs. Normally I'm leery of these stories, but having seen photos with guys lugging massive video cameras, plus the snippet on YouTube, I'm open to hopin'.

This subject is what Al Paul should be writing about.
But after following the saga all these years, its faith
will be the same as Capricorn Records, Moogis.
Lost to mismanagement, greed.

Is it possible the rumor you heard was about the vinyl release and not the video?
