Anyone remember watching the Stone's Hampton Roads concert on TV back in 1981?

The anniversary of that show was last night. I saw it and it was an epic time all around. It was Friday to start it off. I knocked out my chem exam at school. Picked up my Xmas present to myself on the way to work after school - it was green as an Xmas tree... and just as tasty! I worked for 4 hours cutting steaks and then headed off to my friend's to watch the Rolling Stones. The local radio stations broadcasted it live. It was quite the party! It even snowed... The Stones Rocked it Big Time! Of course, Christmas vacation started the next day. I slept very sound...

To Rockin' good times past, present, and future! Cool

I was at the show. "Won" the opportunity to buy tickets on the radio in NC and drove up to see the show. Was about 50' from stage in the center. It was incredible to be there. Thorogood opened. Festival seating, so we got there early. Epic! I told people about Ronnie hanging from the crane, Mick rolling across the stage, putting the mic in his pants, going around the arena during Let Me Go, Ronnie flicking a cig out of his hand up to his mouth, and the unbelievable part of seeing a guy run across the stage as the balloons came down and Keith swing at him (at that point, it was all we saw as the balloons blocked our view and I thought Keith might have killed someone on stage!).
The funniest part was that my buddy and I figured we had to go (at the time) because we thought, seriously, that they were "getting old and this might be our last chance to see them!" How naive were we!!
