Yes, and its a much better piece of work than the previous couple of discs. Thats not to say they are no lesser quality.

It's the sound of a band that needs to go on a hiatus.

Like their last 2-3 albums, I like about ever other song. "Traveling Tune" is one of the best songs Warren has written in years IMHO.

I have it and enjoy it....My favorite song is "Traveling Tune" and I agree with the above statement that it's one of the best songs Warren has written in some time. It reminds me of Dickey Betts and has his style of writing and guitar tone. Very tasty steel guitar layered in this one which is a nice treat.

I also dig "Thorns of Life" and "Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground."

I was particularly intrigued to read in the liner notes that Jorgen, it seems, was very involved with much of the recording, writing, engineering, etc. of this album. At least more so than in the past. I seem to recall (it's been awhile since I read the liner notes so forgive me if I'm wrong) some of it was recorded and maybe mixed in his home studio...

Love the entire record. My favorite track is 'Dreams & Songs' but I also love 'Traveling Tune', the hard hitting ' Stone Cold Rage', and 'The Man I Want To Be' which has an old school rhythm and blues feel, think Etta James.

"The Man I Want To Be" reminds me a bit of some of the material from The Man in Motion Warren Haynes Band CD. I agree about "Dreams and Songs" being pretty good too.

The Mule needs to use a real producer again and leave the Gordie Era behind.
