Hey. Well, over on my Facebook page, I started a theme called November In America, and since Thanksgiving is this month, I'm posting artists from different states in the country. Trying to limit to one artist pe state for the entire month. So far, I have 10 artists from 10 states. Think I'm doing pretty well so far. Trying not to include too many of the obvious hit songs in this list:

Bruce Springsteen - Hungry Heart (New Jersey)

Darius Rucker - Southern Comfort (South Carolina)

James Taylor - Copperline (North Carolina)

Ted Nugent - Live It Up (Michigan)

Muddy Waters - Mannish Boy (Mississippi)

Tom Petty - Saving Grace (Florida)

Billy Joel - Summer Highland Falls (New York

Merle Haggard - I Take A Lot of Pride in What I am (Oklahoma)

Heart - Dream Of The Archer (Washington)

Buddy Guy - Who's Gonna Fill Those Shoes? (Louisiana)

There is some real fine music on that list!!

When I think about the Allman Brothers Band when I first saw and got hooked by them in 1970 I identified them as Georgia boys.

But as the years went by that began to change. Dickey was clearly a Florida guy. Gregg was living in California in the 1990's. Butch was a Florida guy too.

Duane and Gregg began as Tennessee guys then moved to Florida. It was a Florida band when they finished putting it together in 1969. They only became a Georgia band because Phil Walden and Capricorn were in Macon.

Jaimoe is from Mississippi. Lamar was also Mississippi. And Oakley was Chicago, Illinois.

Well, after some thought, I decided to revise the playlist in this theme a bit. I'm gonna go in Alphabetical order of all 50 states, and pick a different musican from each state, and a song from them as well. Here's the first 5 in the revised list:

Alabama:
Drive By Truckers - Ronnie & Neil

Alaska:
Jewel - Hands

Arizona:
Linda Ronstadt - Blue Bayou

Arkansas:
Al Green - Take Me To The River

California:
Metallica - Master Of Puppets

Well, I finished my playlist, but I decided to revise it a bit. I wasn't with everything I included, but I think I have a pretty good one now. I dothat sometimes, change things after a while. Here's the link to all the songs I included. Didn't include the Allman Bros. since I had them in a similiar playlist already. https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQxELNZrvQTt3R7Cx-TGEIFEvyPIPMIZn
