Caught the Revival when it finally came to my town and what a show it was.  Grabbed us from the first song ... Don't Want You No More ( with no Devon onstage?)  and then he shows up on the organ for Greg's famous, delayed vocal  intro  to Not My Cross To Bear!  And it just got better and better.  Jimmy Hall was in great form .  Duane Betts and Devon seemed in great spirits separately and together.  Great guest artists as always.  The biggest surprise to me was how well Robert Randolph accentuated the Allman songs without overtaking them.   Very low key and just excellent.  Lamar Willimas Jr was another nice surprise on vocals.   Larry McCray was a powerhouse and fit right in. Duane's guitarist, Johhny Stachela, was just fantastic on slide as always. Folks were coming off and on the stage all night, but never in a disorganized or unruly fashion.  The bands seemed to have as great a time as the audience.

After playing for an hour and 45 minutes, Duane said they were going to take a  short break!  20 minutes later they came out and played for another hour!  Highlights of the show included great versions of Dreams, where Devon just remined you so much of Duane on stage, and Whipping Post.  But really, every song was a treat . Like me, most of the audience  were up there in years, but hadn't lost their love of music or the Allmans.  To me this was the closest thing to seeing my life long favorite band .  Brought back so many wonderful music memories from the last 55  years .  If you have the chance to see this show be sure to go.  You won't regret it!

Thanks for the report

Are they doing only Allman Brother Songs now or are do they still have breakouts like Allman Betts where they'll do a few originals?
