Just saw this. Gotta say a band with Chuck, Duane Betts, BO Jr., Johnny Stachela and Rod Morganstein sounds a lot more appealing than Devon’s Allman Family Revival. If he does in fact have an issue with Berry, he needs to get over it. He needs Duane & Berry more than they need him.

All IN Music and Arts Festival has unveiled its artist lineup scheduled for Labor Day Weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis, Ind., from Sept. 3 through 4. The two-day music experience will feature an all-star lineup of performers in addition to two performance which will pay tribute to The Allman Brothers Band and Tom Petty, with so-called Dreamset performances.

The event was created by the seasoned festival producer who brought forth Bonnaroo Superjams and PoWows at the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, Paul Peck, who has also put together the first-ever All IN Dreamsets.

The first night will present an incredible roster of artists honoring The Allman Brothers Band and featuring Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers Band, Sea Level), Duane Betts (Allman Betts Band and Duane Betts and the Pistoleers, Dickey Betts & Great Southern), JoJo Hermann and Sunny Ortiz (Widespread Panic), Berry Oakley Jr. (Allman Betts Band), Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs, Winger), Gerry Hansen (legendary studio musician), and Johnny Stachela (Allman Betts Band). Also featured are Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs, Kansas), Bill Nershi (String Cheese Incident), Samantha Fish and more.

The full lineup for the event also includes Daryl Hall & John Oates, Cage The Elephant, Portugal. The Man, John Fogerty, Death Cab For Cutie, Trampled By Turtles, Lucinda Williams and Her Band, Dawes, Misterwives, Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs and more.

The festival will take place in the heart of Indianapolis, Ind., where attendees will experience the full-fledged musical experience with accompaniment by a vast selection of local food and beverages–not to mention an impressive beer garden, art vendors and plenty of other activities.

All IN offers limited camping at a first-come, first-serve basis. Festival tickets are on sale now at ALLINFestival.com.

Where did you hear they had an issue? I've seen a lot of people jumping to conclusions and starting rumors regarding the band's hiatus.

If wasn't going to be in Columbus watching ND hopefully upset the Buckeyes that weekend, I'd be at this in a heartbeat.

And notice that Duane, Berry, and Johnny are all there under the guise of the Allman Betts Band. If there was a full divorce you'd think those guys would drop that moniker altogether....

Notice that I said “IF” there is an issue. There has been a lot of speculation as to what the status of the Allman Betts Band actually is in numerous other posts. I agree with others that it was odd that they spent a few years writing, recording & touring and building a following, just for everything to come to a screeching halt at the end of 2021. I saw the Allman Betts Band at the Chicago Theater last December and walked away impressed and looking forward to what their future held. As of right now, I have no idea if they even have a future.

In my mind, I guess the only comp I can come up with was Mick & Keith in the late 80s. A lot of people thought the Stones might be done after Mick released some solo albums. Even with Jeff Beck guesting on some tracks, his material was nowhere near Keith’s Expensive Winos. That band was outstanding in the studio and live. After seeing the Winos, I thought that Keith could continue rocking hard with his band if he chose to, but Mick’s stuff was nothing special at all. Maybe comparing a band that had about 25 years under their belt to a band with 2 or 3 is idiotic, but that’s how my mind works. Sorry!

Well, you still speculated a specific scenario, and that's why I asked because a lot of people have speculated and been wrong.

Yeah Porkchop, I’m human and guilty of sometimes speculating about things. Only point I was trying to make is that the lineup in Indy looks like a far superior show to the upcoming Allman Family Revival shows. Also, I would probably only go see Devon if it was with Allman Betts. Saw him once with Royal Southern Brotherhood (without Cyril Neville) and was not impressed.

@meandean all good, was just wondering if it was something you had heard; from what I've heard the hiatus didn't involve any personal conflicts.

This sounds like it might be worth checking out for sure. I'm just 2 hours from Indy so the drive is short. I'll have to check out ticket prices. Thanks for posting the information and additional comments. As aside note I saw the first show of the Allman Family Reunion when it kicked off in St. Louis last November. It's good to see these guys back on the road playing the music they enjoy...

@rcgp2020 Chuck Leavell heading up a band which includes Duane Betts, Berry Oakley, Johnny Stachela and Ron Morganstein obviously would be a swinging show. If I were closer I'd drive to see that show!

Here is a trip to slide guitar Mecca!

Read Johnny Stachela is working on a solo album and he got Duane Betts to be on it too.
