Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

forgot to include these....
Interesting on how many dates and venues. It seems like ACDC has always done a prtety fair amount
of dates through the US and the venues see,ed to be more of the arenas. Looks like more stadiums.
Not sure why. Maybe not as taxing on the band by having less shows but playing bigger venues to
still try and get revenue hoping people will travel. Not sure, just a thought. Might be just the 1st leg of the tour also.

AC/DC confirm Chris Slade will replace Phil Rudd on their 2015 tour
To the great surprise of no one, bar perhaps Phil Rudd, AC/DC have announced that Rudd will not be the drummer on their 2015 world tour. “Chris Slade will be on drums for the upcoming Rock or Bust world tour,” the band announced in a typically to-the-point statement.
Rudd’s absence had been expected, after he was charged with threatening to kill and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis. His court case, in Tauranga, New Zealand, is ongoing, with the date of his next appearance set for 21 April.
Rudd played on the band’s recent album Rock or Bust, but missed photo sessions and video shoots in London last autumn. Slade replaced him for the band’s appearance at the Grammy awards on 8 February. He had previously served as the group’s drummer between 1989 and 1994, playing on the album The Razor’s Edge.
Before the Grammys, the 68-year-old drummer’s recent gigs had been somewhat less glamorous. He headlined the rugby club beer festival in his hometown of Ashford last summer, and hosted a free Christmas party at the venue Platform 5.
On his Facebook page, Slade wrote: “This is an amazing opportunity for me, after all most people don’t ever get to play with their favourite band once, let alone twice!
“I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming support I have been shown personally, on the Facebook page and other social media, not one comment has gone unread, and it has been very humbling, thanks so much.
“We apologise for the secrecy, please understand this was for all the right reasons.”

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I figure that Brian Johnson's voice just won't hold up for as many dates and they are banking that they have the drawing power for stadiums. I assume there will also be a second leg of the US Tour. They don't tour often but when they do it's a long time.
Disapointed that this round doesn't include Malcolm or Phil Rudd but bring back Stevie Young (who played in Malcolms's spot on an American tour before) and Chris Slade was the next best choice. These guys have some history with the band and at least it isn't different 23 year olds up there with them each time you see them like some classic rock bands.
I'll be taking my boys to see them if they come to Atlanta.

They are going for stadiums to help the retirement fund which is logical. Just with the Eastern Canada shows they will sell over a quarter million tickets alone.
If you had told me in the 70s that the band that writes variations of the same song over and over would be playing stadiums in 2015, I would have thought you insane. Shows what I know. Fun music that gets people going and always seems to draw new fans.
Wish for a change they would mix up the sets and bring back some of the older stuff as they pretty much always play the same few Scott era tunes.
Am I the only one that has found Angus' schoolboy getting creepier each year? Even KISS took off the makeup for a while.
Shame about Malcolm and they sure put distance between them and Rudd quickly.

Are AC/DC big enough any more to play stadiums??? Saw them at Jones Beach about a decade ago and they couldn't sell that venue out and that venue holds only 15,000 seats, a fraction of what those stadiums have.

AC/DC is doing a ton of shows this year. Remember the U.S. dates are the second leg. Europe is the 1st leg of the 2015 World Tour.
We might see a 3rd leg with more U.S. dates combined with South America.

Some bands are 'made' to play large stadiums! AC/DC is one of those bands made for 'outdoor',they literally blow the roof off the indoor venues when they get going. They opened for the Stones a few years back, outside, in front of a crowd of 300,000 & literally blew the crowd away. People who were never fans left as fanatics after AC/DC's show & wondered what was up with the Stones.
You could not find a ticket next time they came to town & they sold out 2 nights of 60,000 seaters within minutes !! Their last tour we were inside 2nd row & in an arena they're totally electrifying!! And we payed less than $100/ticket-they had none of this $600 special seating for 'special rich' people, only the real fans were upfront at affordable prices. They were heldup at the border & 1/2 hour late we found out from the security head. Rather than cheat the audience (and the promoter was urging them not to overplay their time as its a huge financial penalty to go past 11;00) they said Fu%k it and just continued playing late & paid the penalty themselves & gave the crowd 'more' than they bargained for. Thats my kinda band!!
Somehow they've managed thru the years to keep tickets at a Max of $100 for the best seats. We got 2nd row seats thru standard channels just like the old days.Wish more bands were like that.
I agree though, its time for Angus to skip the schoolboy outfit, never really got that, but he sure can play...

I hope they add more US shows and come to Dallas at some point.

Love AC/DC and have seen them many times..... but I will pass on $50-$115 tickets for Wrigley Field.....

I saw them in '79 at the old Market Square Arena in Indy when they opened for the Scorpion and Ted Nugent. They blew the roof off the place and I remember people looking at each other and asking "WTF are these guys???"

Scored 3 tickets 4th row in the first section of the lower bowl next to the stage for the Detroit show! Taking our 8 year old son-who is obsessed with AC/DC. The show is his first day of the school year, but we figured this is likely his only chance to see them, plus with the great seats it'll be worth it!

I want to add them to my list of bands seen live, so while Stadium Shows are not where I want to be, I grabbed two for the Meadowlands. Maybe Bruce will show up 😉

They sold out Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton yesterday in less than an hour 56.000 plus , the sad thing is a large portion of the tickets are on resale sites at skyrocket prices .
