Out of sight out of mind.  Call me when it's finished.

Unfortunately this has seemed to become a complete quagmire.  Very sad, indeed.

People, people, please be a bit more patient! It will be released together with the Atlanta Pop Festival DVD/BR in 2030.

@abbdutchfan I'm 75 now. I'll be 83. IF I'm still living!! Or I may be saying " They look familiar. What is that band's name again?"

At least I know what the audio at Atlanta Pop sounds like. It was released on a two CD set some years ago.

I was told by a reliable source the film of the performance either has no sound or the sound isn't that good. But as the two CD set shows, the audio recorded at those shows is fine. All they have to do is lay the audio tapes down with the film and bingo!!

Do we know what the holdup is?  I've lost touch with the story since the Kramer vid was first posted.

@robertdee The current organization doesn't appear inclined to pay for such work to be done (and perhaps, to be fair, it's not economically feasible?!)....still, ya can't help but hope, right?!?

@dovetail Yes I'm hoping. I turned 75 in December so they better hurry before I have dementia!

I can understand not wanting to spend decent money on something that may only sell 10,000 copies.

The Allman Brothers Band getting interrupted by a bomb scare in Albany, New York while playing JESSIE'S TUNE should be in the documentary.

Jessie's Tune! That is clearly what Dickey says! Listen if you like.

@kcjimmy It's Lamar Williams without his hat.

Looks as if Dickey has that beautiful sunburst Les Paul with zebra pickups he played in 1973 and 1974 and the audio is from 1973. And Dickey clearly says "Here is a brand new song. I think it's called Jessie's Tune". Wonder what that was for???

In 1975 I asked the soundman why Dickey switched to a Goldtop Les Paul as the sunburst was so pretty. He said Dickey became fed up with the guitar because it was difficult to keep in tune.

Dickey had another sunburst Les Paul he played slide with that didn't have zebra pickups. He kept using it for slide until 1979 when he had an SG for slide.

This lineup became the most commercially successful of any ABB lineup as most know. Brothers and Sisters sold 5 million copies and number one on the Billboard album top 200 chart for 5 weeks, Ramblin' Man on top 40 radio at number 2 and they were the headliner selling out large arenas, coliseums and stadiums nationwide.

And they were a good lineup. Saw some kicking shows with this lineup and Chuck Leavell was fantastic.... but it didn't last and wasn't what the original band was with Duane and Berry. But no lineup, as good as some were, after Duane died was as hot as the original. Duane made the difference I think.

@robertdee It is a black & white picture but i gotta say, Lamar looks more like me than he does Jaimoe. But now that you say it he does have the Lamar "Stance".

@kcjimmy Yeah I see what you mean. But notice the shades and beard. And he usually played a Fender.

I hear Butch Trucks says for them to come back in and they will play until dawn. Gregg says it's their third bomb scare but I have no idea where and when the other two happened.

Barry Bailey died and it made me realize that this line up has three gone. Gregg, Lamar and Butch.

And the next line up has Gregg, Butch and Dan Toler gone. And in 1980 that lineup voted Jaimoe out and David Toler took his place and he is gone too.

Barry Bailey.... when I saw ARS a couple of times often would peel off one of those screech harmonic notes. It's a little trick with the side of the pick to get those and Barry Bailey did that a lot. Maybe too much. I have never noticed a guitarist peel those off in a solo as often as Barry Bailey.

Billy Gibbons plays a lot of those screech harmonic notes on the second solo in the studio version  LA Grange.

@kcjimmy Oh yeah!! I know about that!!! I'm 75 now and seem to forget things I have known for years.

Yes that was one I have know about for 50 years and the one that interrupted Jessie's Tune I only learned about when I found this YouTube video.

Thanks for waking me up!!
