In Rick Hall's autobiography, The Man from Muscle Shoals, he describes Duane as having hair down to his waist (page 282).
I've seen loads of pictures of Duane, but never any remotely like this. Has anybody out there in Allmanland seen a picture of Duane's mane?

Good question Bill, yeah have read that recollection b4 too - but have never seen such a photo
I'm sure it's hyperbole considering the typical length of hair in that area in the late 1960s.

…as they came onto the stage, they had his guitar on a stand (of sorts) that was covered w/flowers in the spot where he would normally be standing - then a lone spotlight shined on it in the darkness…..
