Anybody know the story behind this guy at Missing Link Audio, named Mike Ladd? He's got all of this Duane & Dickey specific stuff for sale, pickups and pedals and amps, and claims that he rewound the pickups that were in Hotlanta after Duane got it and that they were some crazy number like 14k or something.

Has anyone heard of this guy? It's odd that the only time Ive ever heard this story about Hotlanta having "aftermarket" pickups is from him. Or even his name period. I've never heard or read it anywhere else. Does anybody know who this guy is? He claims to have been friends with Duane and everybody and that he made those pickups but I've never read his name anywhere when reading about Duane's guitars so Im skeptical. He also says Duane was using a set of his pickups on the Fillmore East album. 

Anybody got any info on this guy? Is he legit? Full of it? If hes legit, why does his name never appear anywhere when talking about Duane's guitars?
