Happy birthday bro

🎸🎶Hope this finds you cheering this ‘milestone’ date w/family & friends - well wishes & thank you Always🎼🎸

Wave back, you look well bro & of course, in addition to fam & friends I hope/am sure Music was front & center too on #80 - I love the Allman-Betts Band!🎸🎼🤙🎶
🎼more often than not my all time favorite music is - last part of Warren’s solo>bridge>
…then power down as you ease into your solo - it’s amazing, that quiet playing, by you & everyone
then power begins to return like at no other time EVER in music - leading to that Mind-Bending chord change, your soloing building back up to beautiful earthquake power
so love Nobody Knows - the band was never better in the studio, you caught lightning in a bottle w/this brilliant tune & thank you Dickey
happy holidays to you & yours bro

- did not know you & Keef were born just 6 days apart! True brothers in 🎶🎸🎼🎸 -
bro I won’t overwhelm or be starstruck fan etc…
but must add my other favorite Dickey Betts moment…..”everybody saw brother Dickey was … (in low voice) ‘Heavy Dude … The Man Can Play’” laughing & recalling it as only he could
refer to brother Red Dog, Joseph Campbell, in the wonderful DVD Please Call Home
as he recalls (what he mentions as) the 1st gig after Duane’s accident in upperstate NY
w/everyone in an emotional otherworld, music saved the Allman Brothers
Red Dog says, “the first gig we did was in NY, & Dickey was on fire that night - I mean, unreal - & just blew everyone in NY away
”& once that happened, that’s all the band needed - he took the bull by the horns back then, & abled the band to go on for 30 years
”you gotta give the man his due”
Dickey, music just wouldn’t be the same w/out ya bro
….it was a labor of love & so glad a listenable copy from 10/17/71 Owings Mill MD could be extracted for release - same Down In Texas - & all the Duane-BO stuff
ABB fans are very fortunate🤙🎄🎼
