Saturday Night -- My final ABB show

What a great show! Even the "Into The Mystic" which I do not particularly care for was great. Nice Bill Graham dedication to boot on the 23rd anniversary of his death. "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" with "Politician" thrown in there as a tip of the cap to Jack Bruce was excellent and very thoughtful. "Jessica" and "Hot'Lanta" were the gems in my opinion. I thought the show was so good that I was resolute in being there on Tuesday for the finale. Upon reflection, my feelings coming out of Saturday's show were so positive, I am going to let sleeping dogs lie and make Saturday, my 69th ABB show, my last. To all who go tonight and tomorrow, I hope your sentiments leaving the Beacon are as strongly positive and memorable as mine. I have been attending this band's shows since 1989 and I could not have asked for more on Saturday. A chapter of my life (more than half of it) has closed and it was a very good chapter.

Guru - totally agree. With previous plans I can not make it tonight or Tuesday. But after Saturday's show it is hard to be disappointed as it was THAT great. Definitely going out on a high note.

Agree .... Sat was my last show as well awesome show!!!!

That really was an amazing show. Al of it, and it's funny but that version of Into the Mystic was what stayed in my head after I left, and into the following day.
I am very hopeful they will surprise us all and come back together to play again in a few years. Stranger and less likely things have happened.
