The weather here today was interesting. In the morning it was just cold. By lunchtime, there were 3-4 inches of snow. By 4:00 it was raining and a slushy mess.Â

Yes it was - I helped out the food pantry picking up donations right in the middle of the snow storm yesterday. Roads were pretty slick for a while. We had about 2-2.5 inches, but it is all gone now. My wife got a new car yesterday - a 2025 Chevy Equinox - now her car is nicer than mine (also an Equinox, but 2018).

Los Lobos are coming to town in a few weeks. Probably going to get tix. Mavis Staples is also coming. I've never seen her.

Happy Sunday Morning! I had a buddy over yesterday to watch football. He's on the KETO(?) diet. I think it's basically Atkins, the no-carb thing. I would say he's right around six feet. And he doesn't want to get over 155 pounds. So he brings over this Bud Light no carb beer. Tells me it tastes like sheet but he's drinking it anyway. He must have eaten a pound of cheese in the afternoon. He's a character.

As much as he loved the ABB, Los Lobos was Bobo's favorite band.

Did she trade in the minivan? Â

Our big oak in the backyard has been dropping leaves rapidly (usually dumps them all over a week's time) so I hope the neighbors will enjoy some Gov't Mule whilst I do a little raking today. Have to smooth out any big piles so my lawn guy can mow them up tomorrow. Actually I don't care if the neighbors like the music or not, they're gonna hear it. Â

I'm beat. Worked 4 days for the food pantry this week. Rototilled the garden, cut the grass for the last time this year, and put all the deck furniture in the shed for the winter.
So, whiskey or beer tonight?Â

He gave me a live show of theirs that I can't find which frustrates me. They played a radio show at The Cubby Bear across from Wrigley Field years ago and I got them to sign the liner from a live DVD. This was sadly after he passed away.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Thanksgiving Eve!Â
Wott is everyone doing? I am going to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's place down by Nave Pier for brunch. It should be perfect. Watching the Lions /Bears game with a bunch of delusional Bears fans. One even took the Bears straight up for $20.Â
Yesterday I found out I can eat solid food for the first time in over two years. Kind of scared.Â

I hope all of you turkeys have a Happy Thanksgiving! Â

Happy Thanksgiving Guys ... you must be so thankful that I am your friend, so just send me your best shows Â

Happy Thanksgiving!  Looks like the refs that make sure KC always wins were in Detroit for Detroit to win today ...Â

You'll have to explain that one to me. Which play?
Hey, look at the bright side. In a few hours you should have a new head coach. That last "drive" by the Bears was beyond belief. And the coach says they handled it the right way. Really?!?! There were a handful of things they could have done differently.

I don't know that I've ever seen the end of a game mismanaged like that at any level.

Yes they were horrible at the end - but Detroit rips off a guys helmet on a tackle, no call. Matter of fact, they penalized the Bears for complaining about it. Then the Bears knock off a guys helmet - and it's a penalty. Add to that the obvious pass interference call against Detroit that they didn't call on that last drive ...Â

Bears fire Eberflus.

Going to see the band Beat tonight with my youngest. It's in frickin' Indiana at a casino. Should be fun! Been a lot of rave reviews about the show - playing 3 albums from King Crimson from the 80's.

Great show last night, and I actually ran into Moid after the show. My son made me make a bet, since it was at a casino - I put $20 into a roulette game (not a table, just 5 or 6 screens around a wheel) - I won $160.  Just about paid for the tickets ...
They played over 2 hours, and I'm glad they had big screens on the side - amazing to watch their hands as they played - Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, and Tony Levin were just amazing. Danny Carey on drums was also great. They looked like they were having fun up there.

Looks like coot* might want to change his name in the football pool ... Â

I saw Steve Vai a couple of times on that G3 Tour that went on. Maybe it still does. I think Satriani may have started it. Never liked Vai at all. Belew either. Just not my cup of tea. My first time seeing Kenny Wayne Shephard was on that. A couple of others. That was a fun tour.
wott is moid up to? I saw him earlier this year at a Jerry Garcia Band show but we didn't have a chance to talk.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Football Friday! Hope everyone is staying warm.
I had an interesting morning. I walked across one of the streets outside of our building and there was this bird sitting in the middle of the street. I tried to shoe it across the street so it wouldn't get hurt and the thing couldn't move. So I picked it up and called the bird rescue place (I have their number). They told me to take it inside and put it in a box or paper bag and they would come and get it soon. Twice I asked if I could take it to the zoo and they said "NO!". I contemplated letting it go but I knew it couldn't make it. Long story but after three hours they finally showed up. I checked on it today and it is at a bird sanctuary. Hopefully getting better!Â
It better make it, I missed a meeting!
