wott is everyone doing for the holiday weekend? Every Memorial and Labor Day I miss my boat in Meeechigan. I doubt we are doing anything. We can hang out on the roof and look at Lake Meeechigan which is beautiful. Other than one higher than us building, you can pretty much see the entire lake.

I miss gardening. We used to live in a three story walk up and there was this kind of a strange roof that hardly anyone used. I would grow veggies in planters, all sorts of stuff. Tomatoes, beans, peppers, whatever I could grow. I figured it was safe. I actually kept a cooler up there with beer that nobody bothered. So I went there one morning and somebody broke through this locked gate to get to my plants. Just to destroy them. I ruined an entire year. I was not happy.

My garden is looking good - a neighbor gave me some onion sets, and they are coming up nicely already.
Just hope my neighbor's tree doesn't block all the sun from my garden - tomatoes and peppers need a lot of sunlight ...

Well due to space concerns I would grow Romans or cherries. Both good in salads. Â They are both small. Any of the larger ones are fine. A nice big tomato slice on a sandwich is always good. I always hated the green ones. My mom would buy them and can them or make them in something. I guess they tasted okay but there was just something odd about eating a green tomato to me.
My grandpa would pick them out of their garden, hose them with the garden hose, sprinkle a little salt on them and just eat them in their backyard. 😀 Â

Hope the wedding went well Sang
Wedding went very well - weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony.  They had Irish dancers for entertainment during dinner (my new daughter-in-law was one when she was young). Food was great - one of the best filets I have had. Lot of people dancing until the end (not me). They had an outdoor balcony overlooking the golf course, and a couple lakes with lighted fountains. My daughter performed the ceremony, and my other son was best man. It was a great night!

Rabbits already sawed off one tomato plant despite the "protective" caging around it. 
 Maybe I should have rabbit stew with some tomato slices, that is if I get some tomatoes.
