Been on an Isbell listening spree.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

My goodness! Everyone must be enjoying the weather.
Or watering their gardens. I heard tell that someone here waters theirs does it wearing shorts and black socks.

Guilty, but they were long pants. a bit chilly this morning.Â

Greetings and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! Really going to heat up this next week, yuck. Relaxing day planned will probably watch the US Open final round.
"Is that a real poncho or is that a Sears poncho?"

Went to Central Illinois yesterday to have lunch with my 94 year old dad. Nice that my brother and sister were there too.  Then we drove back up north and saw Taylor Hicks and Jewel in concert.  Having all the kids (and the new granddaughter) over this afternoon.  Then golf tomorrow, and the rescheduled Outlaws/Dave Mason concert tomorrow night. Then golf early on Tuesday.  Been very busy ...
Happy Father's Day to all the dads ... Â

Ingrates! Pretty steamy here the last couple of days and looks like summer will be here to stay for a while. Getting an underground sprinkler system put in later this week. It will allow me to be even lazier than I am already.

Saw Outlaws/Dave Mason last night. Outlaws were a little too loud, but were good - I knew all the songs. Dave Mason was really good - sound was a little better. He played a lot of Traffic songs, some that were redone a little - like Low Spark.

Low Spark is one of my favourites ... really enjoyed hearing that again at a Steve Winwood gig in London about 10 years ago

Brofan and I saw The Outlaws at The Chicago HOB several years ago. Not positive but I think all of the main guys were there. I know Hughie Thomasson was. I think it was right before he passed away. Henry Paul was. The guy that PhotoRon hates for wottever reason.
And it was loud as hell that night too. Couldn't have been more than 200 people there. Great show. And I also knew everything they played.

Happy Thursgay! Pride weekend kicking off tonight I believe. It is a very entertaining time. Sunday is the actual parade. Now that you want to avoid. If you've been to it once, that's enough. But it brings a ton of people and revenue to the city and specifically, this neighborhood. For the restaurants and bars here, it is the biggest money maker of the year.

I thought coot was gonna put it under his house and water the basement. But that wouldn't make much sense now, would it? Â

Massive hail storm and downpour last night at Red Rocks Ampitheater during a concert! Several dozen people sent to hospitals. Been there during an hours long cold September rain that eventually turned into light snow but thankfully never been hammered by hail.

Played golf today - did ok. Going to a local park for a free band tonight. Seeing a couple of bands tomorrow night in Lansing.

Someone needs to change the title to "The Egregiously lazy-ass thread". Â

wott's everyone up to this weekend?
Been a very busy week for me!Â
Tomorrow I guess we (read, THB! 😀) are having folks on our rooftop in the afternoon. I had to invite a couple of guys so it isn't just me and a bunch of girls.
Sunday I get to watch the Cubs in England starting at 9:10AM. That will be strange. Then The Pride Parade! That is when you stay home and away from the madness.

No kidding. Being hit by golf ball sized hail with a 50 mph wind is not anywhere on my bucket list. Â

Saw an interesting show band Friday night called Radio Gaga - they played Queen and Lady Gaga. Had a guy that looked and acted like Freddie Mercury, and a women who looked and sounded like Lady Gaga. Very entertaining show ...

On The Daley Plaza in downtown Chicago there was this band playing at lunchtime Friday. They are called Skyway Stereo I think. Pretty much all original from wott I could glean. I really enjoyed them. Four guys; two guitars, bass and drums. Classic/Hard rock. Tad of blues. There is usually someone playing every day and I can hear it which kind of annoying. These guys are really good though. I figured they would be playing a club somewhere that night but nothing.Â
Looked them up and all I could see was some Facebook page which I don't look at.
If you are bored and can find anything about them let me know.

Hope everyone has a nice day. I'm not looking forward to mine. I hope I am needlessly worrying.
The weather people on the news have me worried about the air quality here. I put a mask in my bag. 😮Â

Yep, that was them. And the singer did use a vox which I typically don't care for but these guys are good. I hope they play in the city sometime. I would pay to see them.

Played golf in Chicago (Harborside) and it was brutal with the haze from the smoke. The smoke was even worse at my house when I got home. I was supposed to go to a minor league game tonight, but we are not because of the air - going to an indoor restaurant/bar instead.

Good evening. Snag I hear ya. This morning when I left I could tell it wasn't clear. When I left this afternoon it was awful. My throat actually hurts. Can't believe it but I am getting out a COVID mask tomorrow.
