Indeed they were. I don't remember how many shows I saw there. I want to say 20-25. The Clapton ones are quite memorable even though everyone knew he was going to be there.
My first two were in 2000 and they were okay but this was when Dickey was still in the band and they pretty much played the same songs both nights. And his son sat in on Dreams both night if memory serves. Not the best.

Good afternoon! Beautiful day in paradise biggest decision to make yet today is whether or not to have a cigar on the back patio or save it for before the Super Bowl.

Gooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol Super Bowl Sunday!
Got my menu all set up. Frig with beer? Check. Nachos? Check. Chili? Check. Nearby restroom? Check and checkmate.
I don't have much riding on the game but I still have time to bet someone on something. THB did buy some squares. I think her best numbers are 3 and 3. That could be a first quarter score.
I need to get something going.

Good Morning. Rainy today supposed to get some snow later tomorrow night into Thursday. Forecast is 1-5". That's a pretty wide net for a forecast. Might as well just say we'll get wott we get.
Ended up having some fun with Super Bowl props, last game and all. All pretty small, a total of 14. Including halftime lead and the final game results, after all of that, down 12 bucks. 😛

I won two on Pacheco. I didn't think I had a shot when KC was down and Mahomes was hurt. I still figured they would just throw. Lost my fantasy thing big time. And two weeks ago I was in second place. ☹️ ☹️

Wonder wott those will cost. Concerts there aren't good in my opinion. You really can't see anything. I actually saw Bruce there once and it was looking at video screens and drinking $15 beers.

Snow still due later today, high winds, 2-6 inches, mid 50's this weekend.

I saw Pearl Jam/Cheap Trick at Wrigley. Cheap Trick played, then it rained for 2 hours. Around midnight Ernie Banks came out and Eddie Vedder played his Cub song. They played until 2:00 am. We had parked downtown and rode the el up to Wrigley. Had to rush to get an el back, hoping the parking garage wasn't closed. We got home around 4 am. Luckily we were on the top level and were covered during the rain.

Down 13 pounds so far ... many more to go ...

Gooooooooooooooooooooooood 'ol International Flirting Day!
I guess that means I can bat my eyes at Harvey.

I have a somewott similar story. Years ago I went to a Crosby Stills & Nash show. It rained so hard they stopped the show and evacuated the park where it was held. They made everyone go TO a parking garage until the lightening stopped. They let everyone back in and CSN actually came back out and finished the show.
My girlfriend at the time wanted to go home but it was the only time I ever got to see them.

Wonder if Sandman will be in Chicago for the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler shows ...

Hope he isn't dealing with a restraining order like coot* with Erin Andrews ...

Got any needed errands run yesterday as the roads were starting to get slick. I don't think we got as much snow as predicted but the high winds drifted it around pretty good. Plenty cold with the wind chill but supposed to reach mid 40's on Saturday and mid 50's on Monday. At least this shouldn't last too long.

Worst weather for me was a SEPTEMBER Red Rocks show that started out cold, turned to a continual heavy drizzle and there was actually snow flurries by the end. It was seven or so hours of misery. Oteil's band started first, then Jackie Green then Yonder Mountain String Band and then the ABB. Worst off was Matt Almand (Origapch)who had flown in from Florida for the show. His luggage got lost so he was wearing only shorts, a tee shirt and sandals. I loaned him Bobo's ABB jean jacket that I had brought along. Lee, you were there for part of it. I sat with you, Sandman, Brofan and Matt. It was the definition of miserable. They constructed a sort of hut/tent over Gregg to keep him dry on stage.

Yeah that night stunk. They didn't stop the show though as I recall. Didn't we go to Target the next day and get some warm clothes? 2004? I don't recall, I was there three straight years. I know Jeanne and Johnny were there one of the years.
2004 might not have been it because I think was the year of two nights of String Cheese when we didn't wait for SCI the second night. Pretty sure I still have concert posters from those.

2005 or 2006 is most likely. 2003 was an exceptional show that had Razor, Johnny & Jeanne bunched together, the weather was no issue at all. 2004 was the two night "rotating" headliner between the ABB & SCI "hippie toss."

Glad we were able to solve one of the world's great mysteries! 😉
Regarding bad weather you are correct, nothing was that bad. And it was so damn cold!

I only went one year to Red Rocks - Railroad Earth was the backup. Went to a party the night before at Smilin' Jack's house. First time I met Cowboy Neil. If I remember right, we had the room next to Kitty.

Inspired by mystery solving dug out Chris Robinson & New Earth Mud's opening set. As we got toward the amphitheater i think it was Sandman that craved something from the Meat On A Stick booth, could have been Matt.
Either way NEM had broken into Hot Buttered Biscuit jam.
I still have the posters from that show, for canned goods donations. Had I known, a few more cans I would have gotten the largest more limited edition poster. As it was I think I got two different ones.

Thinking that was 2008, possibly 2007. Pretty sure we shared some libations in the bar at Denver Marriott West. There was a group shot of us having a waaaay overpriced single malt scotch cylinder. The two of us, Kitty and I think maybe three or four others.
