Heh. James McMurtry has a song called Choctaw Bingo. There's a line about a family reunion and he's going to his Uncle Slayton's. "He's still pretty spry, not much on talking he's just too mean to die". As soon as I read your post about your mother in law that's wott I thought of.  

Speaking of McMurtry if you haven't listened to him you should. He has a live album , "Live in Aught Three" that is one of my favorite live ones.
