Good afternoon numbskulls.

THB is leaving tomorrow for a business trip to Atlanta. So I get three days of no adult supervision. I am basically paraphrasing here but she told me not to "F*ck anything up".

I think I am going to take in a Flubs game or two. Cold night in the spring. You can get in for $13. A beer costs close to that.

Went to a place today and "The Weight" was on. Had never heard this version. The bartender had the station on some Dead thing and I asked who this was. He said The Band. I said it wasn't. I never knew Cocker covered it. Had never heard this version. So I go to the local used music store to get Mad Dogs & Englishmen. They don't have it and they have everything. So I can only find in on a 2005 deluxe edition CD.

Whilst looking, I passed the "A" section and just for kicks I looked at The Allman Brothers section. Vinyl. Figured I have everything but thumbed through it. The last one I saw was a Les Dudek album. Immediately thought of coot.

I got Ghost Town Parade. $1.99. From wott I've heard it's really good. Looked at the liner notes. Jim Keltner, Carmine Appice and Jack Bruce are on it. Pretty cool.

well, apparently Rory may have some form of depression

he completely gave up this semester and lied all along

He stopped going to one of his classes back in early March and was skipping others

Final Grades will be posted on Wed, but i don't think it is going to go very well

The more info i got out of hi, the more i couldn't believe what was going on

So we have him going to a psychologist on Wed and i am already talked to the registrar to do anything about withdrawing from that class.

On one hand, it's a good thing i am avaialbe, but i don't know where he's going from here. I hate to see someone this young be so negatiive and down on themselves. We'll see.

Good Monday to all.

Lono, sounds like you are doing the right thing with your son, here's to some success in identifying what is going on.

Beautiful day here - golf was ok except for a few a-holes, as usual......

There. Fixed that.

Having said that, gonna leave early. Taking Mrs. Moid to Hall & Oates/Tears for Fears at Rosemont Arena.

Trying to leave home early enough for a pre-show dinner at Hofbrauhaus Chicago (which is in Rosemont, of course).

Not sure I'll be able to hear much. Saw Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal, and Russian Circles Saturday. Had a nice lunch with college friends as well.

I feel for you, I've been there.

If he can recognize the problem, it will help. My oldest has struggled with accepting that and help, and it's been a long three years.

out for a glorious day of powerwashing the deck and the house.

Temps to hit 80 today, but I'll probably finish tomorrow, when it is in the 90's

hello summer

listened to the new TTB live album on Spotify

Not sure what it is, but this band doesn't translate well to tape

I've seen 'em live and they kick it, but the albums and live discs are underwhelming

that said, still a good band

Also, listened to the last DTB live disc, 'Roadsongs' and came away with a similar feeling

been listening to a lo t of old blues and jazz lately. now that shite cooks!
