Good morning.

What do you people do all day, drink bourbon and snooty beer and plan your next concert ?

Oh and golf ?

Yes.

And I have a season pass for the local Goofy Golf Putt Putt course.

Louisville is where Fast43 lives, and he is playing in a duo at places around there. They also have the Forecastle Festival.

The distilleries are fun - Jim Beam is one of the largest and has a great BBQ restaurant on site - but the tasting there is not the best - they give you tokens and you pour them yourself from machines...
My wife got to empty a barrel of 120 proof Knob Creek - then we washed out bottles with whiskey and watched them fill them on the line - from the barrel she emptied. Then they put wax on the top and you put your thumbprint in it.

Woodford Reserve is cool because it is in the middle of horse country near Lexington - but they only have 2 bourbons to taste (might be more by now).

Makers Mark let's you dip your own bottles in the wax.... they all have their own gimmicks.

4 Roses I bought a glass that has a rose on it that changes color to red when the glass is filled...

So some upcoming Chicago shows:

Sunday April 9th: Warren at The Chicago Theatre. I know, I think we are all out on that one.

Saturday May 13th: Ian Hunter Park West. Would like to go but $48 a pop seems a bit steep.

Thursday May 18th: North Miss w/Alvin Youngblood at The Lincoln Hall. Only $25 a pop. Cool, small place.

Wednesday June 14th: Paul Simon Northerly Island

Friday & Saturday July 28th & 29th: Rich Robinson & Magpie at Metro. $43+

Stuff to consider...

All of those shows sound great, but I'm not sure I'll make it to a single one of them.

A little jetlagged, but had a great family vacation in Hawaii.

It's better there than Indiana, if you Hoosier haters must know.

Yes, starting to get excited about Wanee....

I have been to a few places on the Bourbon Trail - 4 Roses, Makers Mark, Jim Beam and Woodford Reserve........ Grin

Any of them worth the trip? Also looking for things to do other than drinking. Isn't Louisville where the baseball bats are made?

Greg, this is where you want to go:

Get your picture taken in front of the big bat. The place is cool as hell.

It's really funny when all it takes is the changing of one letter to make a statement hilarious.

The Corvette Museum in Bowling Green is about a 12 on the cool scale. Mammoth Cave National Park isn't too far from there as well.

Site of the gasoline massacre that was under reported????

For the record, the above photo of Kellyanne in her 'vette was not taken in Kentucky nor anywhere near the Bourbon Trail, but rumor has it, she had a bottle of Bulleit on the floorboard.

If I had her job, I'd have a case of Bulleit n my car. 😛

Firstly, I feel dumb asking this, can someone please explain the "MT" threads?

And the Corvette museum is awesome by the way, as well as Mammoth Cave, haven't been back to MC in about 10 years but I doubt it has changed much, HA. Unlike the natural upgrade to the Corvette museum a few years ago by good ol' mother nature.

Where are you coming from, Cujo? The wife and I just went to Woodford last weekend, going to get out to Buffalo Trace this coming weekend hopefully. You can find some REALLY good and REALLY rare bottles in their gift shop randomly.
