Interesting ride home this afternoon. Never seen police called to a bus I was on. Took me almost two hours to get home.

Gotta love the city I guess...

Trying to figure out a way to get to and see The Southern Soul Assembly Friday night. The venue is way southwest of us. I called the venue and the girl said I would have to walk 12 minutes to get there after my train commute. I don't want to walk around there (probably not safe) but I really want to see this.

Show is sold out but the girl said I can probably get in.

$31. Can't complain about that. Will see wott THB has to say about it.

You decide to go to this ? If you do, give us a review !

I'd love to but it is cost prohibitive. Tickets are pretty cheap but paying about $50-$60 for the commutes plus $15
for a "round" of drinks for the two of us is a bit much.

Think if THB wants to here some music we will go to B.L.U.E.S. Chicago. Club within walking distance. $10 cover and Jimmy Johnson is playing. He is really good! If any of you get here, it is a really cool old time blues club.

At the office, trying to get a little more work done before leaving for vacation Tuesday.

Listening to Little Feat-picked up a bunch the earlier albums for $4 a pop. Right now it's Sailin' Shoes.

Between that and streaming the Tournament, I'm not at 100% productivity right now.

I ended up making a last minute decision to go to Galactic last night with Conor.

They are always great, but this was my second favorite time seeing them (the time I saw them with Li and Corey Glover sang was best). Much better than last year. Stanton Moore makes my jaw drop he's so damn good, but everyone else in the band is great as well. They did a great extended Crazyhorse Mongoose, which is one of my favorite early Galactic songs.

Erica Falls did most of the vocals, and she was really dialed in compared to the other time I saw her. The only other guest was Shamarr Allen, who played a pocket trumpet and did a little hip hop stuff.

The opener is a newer Florida band, the Hip Abduction. I've heard a few of their songs on JamOn over the last year, but don't know much else about them. They are the whitest group of world musicians I've ever seen, but they were good as well. They did some original songs, and a few covers that were very different, including Sexual Healing.
