I caught the tail end of a WXRT ad on the radio the other day and all I heard was Los Lobos for two night at some theater. I'm thinking "cool, Chicago Theatre here I come". Then I find out it's in Downer's Grove. 🙁
Are they popular enough for a two night Chicago Theatre run?
Good question. Probably not. I would imagine a place in Downers Grove is much smaller. They could definitely do one night at The Chicago Theatre. If you've never seen them, you should. They are amazing live.
I've seen them a couple times. Playing locally next month but on a Sunday.
I've also seen them a few times, but never in a little club. That would be cool.

I saw Los Lobos at Fitzgerald's when they first started out - a small club. Also saw them at Summerfest - we were in the 2nd row, but they were more than an hour late because their flight couldn't get to Milwaukee due to storms. Also saw them at Naperville Ribfest the same day I saw Dickey & Great Southern.... I think Dickey sat in with them for a song..... remember it was the first time I met Nic & TattooNeil - Brofan and Big Windy were there too..........
It's colder than hell here and I have a brand new bike...

I saw Los Lobos on the tour last summer with TTB and NM All Stars, on that tour the under card bands did not get enough set time. Seeing each individually would be the better way to go.

Los Lobos played in '07, Hidalgo and Rojas were some of the ABB fiil-in for '10 when Gregg got his transplant.

Road Glide, been saving and putting it off for years. Figgered that at my age, time was running out, so I finally pulled the trigger.

Well FGCU's time in the tourney was brief, losing to FSU last night. Jeez those guys on FSU are tall.
Neat to see Julia Louis Dreyfus in the stands for Northwestern, I guess her and her husband are Alums along with their son being on the team.
And Bill Murray at the Xavier game, his son is an asst coach or something. I thought I heard Bill foots the bill for something big, like the team's travel expenses or something, not sure on that.
