I was very lucky - my company had a lot of good programs - stocks at a discount, put part of your check away to buy savings bonds, and then 401k...... one of the reasosn I could retire early (at 58) was because I had a very good pension and a lot of money from the 401k. My wife and I both had good paying jobs, so we both put the max into 401k's - even though it was a good percentage of her pay. We always lived below our means - never moved to a bigger house, bought GM cars, etc. It was worth it to retire early..... Grin

My company has a 3% match on all the PowerBall tickets I buy, but they want 50% of the winnings.

$430 million winner in Indiana last night.

We can say for certain it wasn't Woods.....

😉 Cool

Got the mail today when I got home. Form 1095-A . Health Insurance Marketplace Statement.

Now, when you you are done with this, it goes to form 8962 Premium Tax Credit.

Then you put it on your 1040. I am an accountant and I don't understand it.

Did I hear this right?

Chris Christie throwing out the first pitch for the Phillies home opener???

😉 😛

No, he's going to be the first contestant in the Scott Boras/J.D. Drew "Can You Dodge a 9V?" Memorial Classic

[Edited on 2/23/2017 by michaelsio]

You may be onto something here. Instead of sausage races, the figures could be people you'd like to pelt with batteries instead. They run the course, people throw things at them. First to reach the protective custody finish line is immune from bombardment. Think of the extra revenue to the Phillies by making everyone buy team logo batteries and not allowing smuggled in ones.

😉 😛

Well in that case, it's the Scott Boras/J.D. Drew "Can You Dodge a 9V" Memorial Classic(TM)

Afternoon

Am I doing the 401k right? I put in 15℅ a week.

If your company does some sort of match, make sure you are at least doing that much. The more you put away, the better off you will be at retirement....

They do a match which I receive. The hard part will be waiting the 50 years until I can retire

Get better Snagger.

I was sicker than a dog for a week at the end of last year. Absolutely no fun.
