I have a question. How do I search the database to find out when and where the ABB performed a certain song? My Dad, over the weekend, said that he liked a particular version of Come On In My Kitchen and Gregg's vocals from LAFE. I informed him that tune does not appear on LAFE or The Fillmore Concerts and as far as I knew the only Duane era (I mentioned the acoustic version from the disc that was put out in the 90's, not it) version I was aware (that he would have any chance of hearing, as he doesn't have any idea of the other than commercial recordings out there) of was not the ABB, but with Delaney and Bonnie and I didn't think Gregg did the vocals. He seemed to be a little miffed that would be that authoritative about his statement and insisted that it was out there.

So, how do I find a listing of times the tune was performed and whether or not he had any chance of ever hearing it?

I'll have to try and locate my copy, but, was COIMK on that acoustic cd that was released in '92 as a fundraiser for Rhett's Syndrome? I recall Liz Reed, but can't remember the other 5 or 6 songs.

1. Come On In My Kitchen
2. Seven Turns
3. Midnight Rider
4. Southbound (listed as two words on the CD)
5. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed
6. Goin' Down the Road
7. Melissa
8. Midnight Blues

Cool

i remember getting that when i saw it advertised in Guitar World back then
cool cd

now i'll have to pull it out, been a while

Gearing up for Riot Fest day 3! Yesterday was awesome.

Iggy Pop closed yesterday, managed to be up front.

Saw a bunch of other great acts, including Merle Haggard and Bootsy.

The Dead Milkmen were hilarious, more a comedy troupe than a band.

My Iggy Pop story. I was on business in Memphis and was staying at the hotel famous for the ducks riding down the elevator and then parading into a fountain in the lobby, The Peabody maybe? It's a block and a half, maybe two from Beale Street.

I'd already slopped into seeing Mule at some dump called the New Daisy Inn and I knew Iggy was playing there later that night. Mule was on their "Woody-less tour" and had Oteil on bass and Chuck Leavell played the entire concert on keys! Great show! For most of it, I was two feet from Chuck watching him play, extraordinary! Hugh Duty was at that show and at one point, I was no more than five feet from him, although we didn't meet.

I spotted Iggy in the gift shop one morning and thought what the hell I'll try and approach him. I knew he loved golf and mentioned that. We ended up talking for maybe 10 minutes. He offered me a backstage pass for the show but I was flying out later that afternoon and couldn't take him up on it. He was extremely affable and engaging.

I'm also convinced to this day that while in NashVegas I spotted Buckethead in the lobby of my hotel, as he had a show later that night nearby. Again, I was leaving that day so I didn't make the show.

And no, he didn't have a KFC bucket on his head. Smile I was going off of stature and length of hair.

Rock star profiling! 😉
