I'm here to tell ya, and I'll qualify this statement by saying I haven't been to N'awlins in about 20 yrs, but N'awlins has NOTHING on downtown Nashville. Boy Howdy, that was one wild scene Saturday night! It reminded me of the line from Spanish Moon - "There was hookers, and hustlers, they filled up the room..." I mean the sidewalks were packed with freaks, hookers, street performers, drunks, tattooed girls with hardly any clothes on... The bars were packed with top notch musicians playing great country music - none of that country pop shit. And, it was hot, steamy humid hot.
The one downer was the woman that puked under the bar where we were sitting at Robert's Western World. That stunk the rest of the night. After she puked and another girl took her to the ladies room and cleaned her up, she came back and ordered a beer. We were really concerned from that point on of being suddenly covered in vomit.
Get this. A UT football game at the Titans stadium, Widespread at the new amphitheater, Carrie Underwood at Bridgestone Arena, and another (maybe rap, that's wott it sounded like from the bridge) concert at the amphitheater on the river. It was a zoo. I'd strongly recommend a visit to Nashville to any of you nutjobs.

Hope you all had a good holiday weekend. Had a blast with Wharfy in Cape May, NJ. Drank every night after the fiasco that started on Thursday night. Feel a lot better today and liver is recovering nicely. Never thought I would get drunk off of having a few margaritas.
