I'll assume laziness, slacking and doofiness is completely permissible on vacation.

No, you have to put in a lot of long hours working.

It's bizarro world.

This "busy" at work thing is getting annoying.

I did go to the Dead meetup at the movies last night. One of the showings was 5 minutes from my house! Cool

It was fun. The show had a great Cassidy, a very strong Truckin', and a cool Dear Mr. Fantasy>Hey Jude>Fantasy

Turnout was really low. Maybe the marketing wasn't as strong this time around.

In addition to the '89 show, there was a great Dead & Company segment at the end with a Slipknot and Franklin's Tower that were very good. It's no surprise to us that Oteil is awesome, I hope he makes new fans with this venture.

Good afternoon. Watching the Dead on the big screen sounds better than my night. 11 hour work days are exhausting.

I thought about going to the closest one here but it was in downtown Chicago, not the theater around us. Given the length of the show and cabs it would have been over 5 hours and probably would have cost around $50. So I passed. Would have been cool and I like the concept but I would just rather get one of the many releases they have. Smile

$12.50 here, and the theatre doesn't serve alcohol. It's good to be 40 miles from downtown.

I caught the showing near me. Please was sold out.
Not a big fan of the post -79 era, but I thought it was a solid show

I was factoring in popcorn, Coke, cabs, etc. The ticket cost was $16 I think.

That sounds about right. I omitted the $5 Lagunitas bomber I drank in the parking lot. Kept me from getting thirsty during the show. 😉

I haven't seen Mark since the last Chicago Theatre TTB show we met up for. That was a few years back now.
