Here's a scan of the front page of the Macon Telegraph. I'm trying to find out how you can order copies of the Sunday paper, but I can't get anyone to answer the phones at the Telegraph office. Guess they don't want to sell several thousand extra copies of the Sunday paper.

Sorry, forgot to post a link to the article.

http://www.macon.com/198/story/673151.html

That's the main article, but the entire set-up takes up four full pages in the paper. One of the photos is of Joe Allen holding the original poster for the first ever appearance of the ABB in Macon, along with a band member from the opening act that night.

Here's a scan of the poster photo. The show was actually their first in the Auditorium, not in town. Sorry for the confusion.

Still can't get anyone at the Telegraph to inform on how to order copies of the paper.

OK, to order a copy of the Sunday paper, call 1-800-342-5845 ext 435, and ask for Betty (do this from 8:30-4:30 EDT).
Request the Sunday edition of 4-5-09. Cost is $1.50 per copy, plus shipping.

This would be a good thing to have as a 40th anniversary collectable.

Thought I'd give this a bump for those who haven't seen it.
