Don't forget the Guess Who, as they were the Canadian band that put Canada on the map. Sort of a "top 40" band on the radio, but a "killer band" live. Hell, Burton Cummings could do Jim Morrison better than Jim Morrison.

I knew that Frank was playing some shows but I didn't think the original Mahogany Rush were with him. Funny he very rarely plays in Canada. He wanted to buy my guitar badly years ago. He still can't have it.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor hands down.

I will argue to the death they are one of the most innovative and creative groups from Canada. Or anywhere for that matter. Now are they marketable like Rush? No, but I don't care about that haha.

For those interested, check out the album Slow Riot For Zero Canada.

Rheostatics - may not be everyone's cup of tea but Whale Music is considered by many to be as good an album as any released and I agree.

Someone mention the Band yet?

Wasn't Lighthouse (One Fine Morning) from Canada??? That song was the theme song used by a local DJ on WNEW back in the day... What a way to start the morning (at 10AM).
