I agree completely with you. I cant wait to see what happens. I read somewhere that Jack resigns from CTU because he does something he has never had to do, which explains him saying "i cant do it" in the preview for next week. Also, in an interview, the actor who plays Curtis says that he will do something that is against his character. It will be very interesting to see how that plays out. All in all i think it was a great premiere and I cant wait for tomorrow.

Well I guess it can't be shoot his boss because he's already done that. Maybe they'll ask him to kill Chloe.

I'll definately be tuned in tomorrow evening.

I've never watched 24 . . . until tonight.

Yes, that was quite good. I'll be tuning in tomorrow night as well, and probably hitting the video store quite a bit over the next several weeks.

Wow.

What a great start to the season. So many interesting things that could impact the next 22 hours...Chloe's boyfriend Morris is a loose cannon, Karen and Bill are married , President's sister and her boyfriend/husband(?) are under arrest, the wimpy guy from Ally Macbeal is the chief of staff

Any Star Trek fans out there recognize Assad? Dr. Bashir from Deep Space 9.

And I gotta wonder, what did Palmer give up to get Jack out of China? The fact that they just glossed over that leads me to believe it will play a role at some point before the day is over....did you see the look Jack gave the Chinese agent in charge? No idea how it will tie in to the current storyline but mark my words we haven't seen that last of that guy...

Over at Television Without Pity they are now referring to Jack as "Count Jackular"

He is one sick mother that's for sure.

Seems like Baur is alone now that Tony & Michelle are gone. Sort of odd Chloe is still alive.... this show is always entertaining.

Word of caution to the people getting 24 on dvd-prepare yourself to be deprived of sleep. It's surprising how many hours you can watch straight through.

What a fantastic beginning. This show never gets old.

Only show I make time to watch.

Jack must have taken a real good beating in China. He couldnt finish breaking the guy down in the house with Assad. But Assad finished it. That is going to play a big role somewhere.

We never saw Audrey or Kim.

Palmer's Sister's Boss/(Boyfriend?) is involved somehow.

And kill that ass of a chief of staff already.

According to the Drudgereport

IS FOX SET TO BLOW THE NUKES ON '24'?
Sun Jan 14 2007 18:14:34 ET

As Washington continues to raise concerns about terror threats on The Homeland -- a recent CIA report outlined a scenerio of possible "series of explosions using 'low charge' nuclear weapons" -- Hollywood and FOX-TV are set to up the ante with the new season of 24!

Few outside of the 24 set know the exact details of the new season unfolding, but studio sources claim producers are pushing hard to take it radioactive this time -- and keep it there.

"Time to wake the country up!" a top FOX source told the DRUDGE REPORT over the weekend. "I do not think there has ever been TV done like this, the viewer is going to be completely riveted."

FOX has set a highly-controversial espisode of 24 to air Monday night, opposite NBC's GOLDEN GLOBES.

My wife and I are 24 newbies, but the kids got us seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas (which we are probably going to have to save for summertime viewing).

Last night was great - I love all the political intrigue. Don't know if the missus will stick with it if there are many more touture sequences. She's committed through tonight.

Can someone confirm for me - the suicide bomber on the LA bus in the opening sequence - wasn't he asian rather than middle eastern? Maybe i just saw it wrong. My guess is that the Chinese are going to be involved - big time.

Can't wait for tonight!

Greg.

Yes the bomber on the bus was Asian. He used a MP3 player to denonate the bomb.

Yeah but he was probably an Indonesian Muslim. The point is that neither Islam nor presumably terroristic Islam is limited to the Arab world.

Seriously, I know there is nothing good on TV to watch, there hasn't been since the likes of Hill Street Blue, St.Elsewere, Chicago Hope, NYPD Blue ( early years).

Every episode of 24 is the same.

How many times can Jack scream ;

Tell me where the bomb is !

Tell me where ( insert name of terrorist) is.

Who ordered/ told you to do this ?

Trust me, it's the truth.

You're making a mistake .

heh... the writer of the show has said his writing isn't that good... just that you won't be bored...

if you ask me it's like james bond... they're all the same, but I dig them none the less...

You forgot:

"My name is Jack Baur. I'm a federal agent."

lol-some of his lines are getting to be like Mr. Governator's "I'll be back."
