No big deal,... just popping in to say 'Hi'
Another year has passed since I lost my own Chuck Nov. 11, 1976.
I treat the date as I always have,.... not with sadness, but with a smile of remembrance of his teasing laughter and easy-going joy with 'life' itself,.... choosing to live everyday as if it would be his last, until one day, it was,.... and here I am, 43 years later,.... older, for sure, but trying to make my everyday count also,.... but with added time he never got to have.

I spent the day working on my wooded property in the Blue Ridge Foothills.
I'm forever building Something.

This year has mostly been devoted to building a delightfully rustic historical-style drive gate.
It's been challenging, and rewarding, and yet I highly doubt I'll get it finished this year,..... I have woodcarvings I want to finish and add to it,... and those are taking time,....

And I want to expand and build more on my private artist's village.
Yeah,... I'm 69 and still passionate about my artistic surroundings,..... what better does anyone have to do with their life, than embrace the small things that make their heart sing ?

Osteoarthritis is kinda kicking my butt but it hasn't slowed me down much,.... it just embarrassed me yesterday to HAVE to ask a gentleman in the grocery store if he would possibly mind getting me a couple of cans on the floor height shelf, clean at the back,... I couldn't lay in the store aisle to try and reach :/

I still made it around 7 airports in a foreign country, just weeks ago, mostly hauling around heavy luggage,... meeting two 93 year old traveling companions made me feel a Lot better,... they barely needed canes to still get around,... but they still had the passion and determination to see the world while they still could,... I don't think I'm going to renew my passport when it comes up for renewal in 5 or 6 years,.... but who knows,.... I just might try and push for 95

Anyway,..... I still stay in-touch via Face Book with several folks here,..... I made some great friends here all those years ago when I first told my story,... I still miss Linnie,.. we used to have some Awesome talks

OK,.. I'm off,... just wanted to touch bases

Thanks for checking in.
You have an incredible story and tell it well.
I don't know you on FB, but have followed it here.
I just went on a big trip myself. I hope you continue to travel as best you can.
I find it to be a great growth experience.
