Has anybody played with one of these pedals? I don't like Digitech products having had a bad RP-1 in the past, but .......... Damn they make this pedal sound like just what I'm looking for. Supposedly can imitate 2 different wahs, a leslie, a univibe, a whammy pedal and it's a volume pedal. I know. I know. If it sounds to good to be true it generally is. That's why I'm asking. I have heard one or two good things from some players about their Clapton pedal ... or maybe it was the Hendrix one. I don't get the chance to get to music stores much these days. They just bring me down.

I've got a Digitech RP80 that I use infrequently, but like a lot. I had to tweak the pre-sets a little, but I can get a really nice fat but subtle distortion by using it w/ my ES 335 through my Fender Vibroverb. I also use the acoustic gutar setting to play my nylon string through the Fender & that is very nice & clean. It kept me from having to buy an accoustic amp.

wow...my buddy wants me to buy his from him. I got it yesterday to try out. It sounded great through his amp, we'll see about mine.

My only problem when he played it was you can't turn the effect off without physically turning a knob and there's no "stomp" to make the lead louder...Line 6 has spoiled me.

Like I use a vib effect on the intro to "These Arms of Mine", but then turn it off for the rest of the song. Once the effect is on...it's on...you can switch between clean and distortion or bypass, but that's it...

I'm gonna play it some more tonite...I'll report back to ya

Thanks Bama. Not being able to turn it off without touching with your hand is bad. Would you check and see if it isn't being able to switch between effects without physically touching the device? Being able to stomp off and on seems like a no brainer. As I've said before, I'm not a big fan of Digitech.

you have to physically turn the knob to change effects. Think about it like this.

It's set up like a two button wah wah. The toe switch controls the on/off of the effect(leslie, wah, vib, chorus, flange) the heel switch controls the on/off of the distortion

you can do 3 things without touching the knob.
1-bypass
2-play clean with desired effect
3-play distorted(whichever distortion you choose) with effect

Here's my #1 problem...if I'm playing a song with a flange effect, but I want to play a solo with the wah...I would have to reach down and turn a knob to the wah option...

it's very un-live friendly in my opionion

That sounds a little better Bama. If you're not interested, what's your buddy asking for it?
